A&E decides

FYI.

The majority of heterosexual men, race is irrelevant, are not down with homosexuality. Does not mean they hate them, but they aren't cool with it.

Should we alter the employment status of all of them and/or mute their speech? Sounds like an Obama inspired economy.

There's money involved. They took a hard enough stand as it is, considering the consequences. What would you prefer they do? Say nothing and get the backlash of the LGBT community or stand with Mr Robertson and get it even worse?

I think they made a decision that's in line with social progression in the country.

But really, Arts & Entertainment channel... still blows my mind that a show about some self-proclaimed rednecks is/was on A&E.

Who cares about LGBT!? Their opinions are no greater than anybody else's. The money to be lost is far greater bowing to these fools with nothing better to do than it would be sticking with their cash cow.

People are just sick of having to bow down to a few messed up people that scream for equality & tolerance but show none. It's the liberal f#%^*+d up world we now live in. It's also sad of A&E to not take a real stand when given the opportunity. They promote this show & family literally everywhere knowing what they believe & then cower at the first sign of conflict.

A&E is sandwiched in between two incredibly sensitive groups. The progressives and (parts of the) LGBT community need to stop being so hurt by words and opinions. The religious right needs to understand that if they say things that offend people, people will get upset with them. It's like they want to take a stand for unpopular opinions, but they don't want to deal with any of the adversity that comes along with taking a stand.

Two incredibly whiney groups.

Summed up very well.

The LGBT community isn't just homosexuals, but also includes people that support gay rights and that immensely increases the population of that group.

This is a very petty issue that really affects no one but A&E and the Robertson's, but has caused a lot of annoyance. Hope it dies off soon and everything goes back to normal.

Mr Robertson penciled in drunkards along with gays and adulterers... I myself have a drinking problem, and agree 100% with him! I don't take his comments as offensive, all he wants is for people to better themselves..I love Phil

Social progression when pertaining to gays.. But you feel free to call out self proclaimed rednecks? You're my least favorite poster.

I find a and e ridiculously stupid for banning this guy for some rather harmless comments.

I find the ducks rather pitiful for claiming to have such strong convictions on family and these beliefs, yet stuck on pause here.

I would think the ducks have some contractual issues to wade through before making a snap decision within 24 hours of the story breaking. Part of their principles are Christian based, thus whatever they do needs to be ethical and legal, based on those contractual obligations.

Why can't people understand this? He was talking about all sinners, which is basically everyone. I'm not gay or someone that practices animal romancing, but because I'm a sinner I'm right alongside those groups. Sin is sin.

This whole thing is absurd and the people constantly waiting for the next big fake issue need to be shot.

I am for gay marriage and rights but they need to quit *****ing at some point. A large part of the country will never agree with then anyway so who cares.

I just don't understand why Christians are proud to say controversial things and stand up for what they believe in and then freak the **** out as if others never have any justification to be offended. "God said it".

You believe God said it to a man to be compiled in a book thousands of years ago. It has been translated several times and you interpret it a certain way, but he definitely said this and so you are not wrong and others aren't justified in being offended....right?

If you can't stand the heat keep your f-ing mouth shut. I don't go around calling Christians sinners for supporting government forced morality (which I think is sinful) because it will hurt their feelings.
