OK, here's my question about the "free speech" brouhaha.
What if, in addition to saying he thought homosexuality was wrong, Phil Robertson went Westboro and said that as a result of it God was punishing American troops?
How many people who are now championing free speech and applauding him for saying what he believes would still be doing so? Would Sarah Palin and Bobby Jindal be tweeting his praise?
I'll hang up and listen.
He has the right to say what he dang well pleases, A&E has the right to fire his azz for any reason they want. People have the right to or not to watch A&E.
That goes for anything he could have said. The point of the matter is the intolerance of the people claiming to want everyone to be tolerant of them!
As do I, but I still can't blame either for their respective actions. What'd each honestly think would happen?
Can't believe how big of a deal this is for everyone.
People are just sick of having to bow down to a few messed up people that scream for equality & tolerance but show none. It's the liberal f#%^*+d up world we now live in. It's also sad of A&E to not take a real stand when given the opportunity. They promote this show & family literally everywhere knowing what they believe & then cower at the first sign of conflict.
