A&E decides

Don't think they could stop anything already recorded.

But they could announce tomorrow that they are done with A&e. Guessing they won't.

Are these kind of contracts yearly? I mean can they hang them if they don't record another season if they are currently in contract?

I read his comment as sin is effectively equal, one is not greater than another. Sinful sex is sinful sex.

Honestly, I do get that. Just strikes me as funny how often homosexuality, bestiality and pedophilia follow one another when listing sins. For whatever reason those seem to go together in a lot of minds.

Phil had said many times he was ready to get out. Maybe he was trying a bit too hard? I don't think Willie and Co will be stopping.

What did A&E honestly think his views were going to be? Anyone could've guessed what his answer was going to be to that question before it was even asked.

You really can't blame A & E though. This is a Sue Happy Country. Reminds me of the Paula D ordeal. Phil did nothing wrong, He's a Christian man stating his beliefs.

They don't need the show anymore. Duck commander clothing is everywhere.

Well, until conservatives call and write the stations or A&E as much as liberals this will continue to happen. Let them know you won't watch, won't buy from the sponsors etc., they'll fold eventually.

The only show I watched on A&E was Duck Dynasty. I guess now I just won't watch A&E anymore. Kinda the same way I don't watch Bravo, OWN, etc.

Dang, now I feel bad about my above statement to Burhead...thanks OB...

it is very sad and tragic, especially at Christmass Time and with the three kids...may God touch the family with his gentle hands and provide comfort

Rich was a solid poster. Posted in politics forum as well. Very sad indeed.

Gut wrenching to hear this. It's a reminder that life is fragile and can be taken at any moment. Hard to fathom what his family is going through. Way too young.

I couldn't agree with this more. There's a large chasm between not condoning another's life choice and hating those who make those choices. That can apply to sexuality, premarital relations, cohabitating...the list is endless.

Each person has their own framework of values, and one shouldn't be marginalized because theirs don't align with yours.

Did it coincide with a dip in ratings? That would explain it if so.

This is what I'm thinking. Follow the Chic-Fil-A model. Upset the the christian right, and watch chicken sandwiches and free publicity skyrocket.

He didn't group them together. You are trying to read to much in to it. He was speaking of all sin. References of cheating, stealing, lying, sex out of wedlock.

Huh? Was he referencing all sin, and included homosexuality into that?

Every one of the above harms another human being in some fashion. What consenting adults may do behind closed doors is only wrong because a 2000 year old bronze age text says so.

It's not about the show. It's about the retarded hypocrisy of libs that want to freely express their beliefs so long as nobody else's differ.

Dude has every right to express his opinions, and A&E has every right change status of his employment. I fail to see the hypocrisy.

Nobody forced him to be on the show.

I don't see what the problem is with any of this.

I think it's a dumb show, and it's annoying how so many Christians act like if you're Christian and you don't support the show, something is wrong with you.

Having said that, this "suspension" is stupid. He was asked a direct question, gave a direct answer, and why anyone would be surprised by his answer is beyond me. It's not like he's hidden these views in the past. And why do people care so much if someone accepts your lifestyle or not? I didn't read him say anything like "Gays should be rounded up and put in camps" or anything.
