Not to mention 5 UT System President's and 4 Chancellors since 2000. With the long serving Beverly Davenport being the most recent. There has been a leadership vacuum from the very top of this organization for nearly 20 years.

Has anyone read this? I saw some folks discussing it on TOS, seems to be a book with some nasty behind the scenes stories of Butch and other previous coaches.

If you’ve read, please share some excerpts. I may end up ordering the book. I looked around and haven’t seen a thread on it.

Im interested in it, but I didnt want to drop $20 on a bunch of stuff I already know. Is there any new insight or info in this book?

You don’t trust the 5 star Amazon reviews from all the authors friends? I kid.

I thought the author was a member here. It does look like an interesting read even if we all know the story.

I read it in about 5 days. I couldn’t put it down. It was like watching a 10 train wreck over the pan of a week.. Lots of interesting behind the scenes details and random fan, player, and coach perspectives. It’s worth reading, IMO.

Since you asked for examples, the most interesting thing to me was the handling of Brett Kendrick and the players’ perception of Dooley.

Not being a jerk. I honestly have zero desire to read it. I have lived it...... Hopefully all of the dysfunction is in our past and the lessons have been learned.

Just finished the book the other day. I think it's worth the money. Some new stuff I wasn't aware of in there, and some really interesting firsthand accounts from fans and coaches and players

Care to elaborate on those examples?

Agree on the Kendrick stuff. Apparently, according to Brett's mother, Butch did everything he could to try and run Brett off in his first couple years there. Constantly cussed him out, told him he wasn't good, etc.
