Someone has said that a person can be judged by the quality of his enemies. While the Vols are not the Gators' enemy, they are certainly heated rivals. The fervor with which you guys embraced Lane Kiffin caused many Gators, myself included, to lose respect.

I notice that Kiffin's latest escapades have apparently gone unremarked on this board. In case you didn't notice he has done two more scummy things recently.

1) He had the second string QB change to the kicke's jersey to deceive the other team with a trick play. Violates the first item in the Football Code of Ethics. The other team was the University of Colorado. Yes, Colorado! With a tough opponent, I guess anything goes.

2) He had the ball boy deflate the USC footballs to make them easier to hold and catch and then had the boy claim he did it on his own. Of course, Kiffin denies authorizing it, but SI, ESPN, and the entire college football world are laughing about that.

Will you guys now finally admit that hiring Kiffin was a mistake and that he is not the kind of guy you want representing your university? Man up.

I'll take Kiffin over Dooley any damn day.

He's not our damn coach anymore...Why would We give a crap what he does now?...Why don't you worry about your own team and stop worrying about what the hell Lane Kiffin is doing at USC or what our team is doing...We don't owe that jagoff anything or you or any other gator fan...So man up and piss off.

I think most on here have said as much. I personally liked his bravado and arrogance when he got here. It was a nice change of pace from CPF and it gave some of us fans a sense that all was going to be fine.

In time, that arrogance just became childish. I was really pissed when he left (more about the timing of it than him taking his 'dream job'). It was just a matter of time until he got us on probation.

He is overrated as a coach. He hasn't proven anything. He is a liar and a cheat. I am glad he is gone.

I wish we did a better job of finding a replacement for him. If the Patterson rumors are accurate, Hammy really is a bigger bonehead than I first thought - and that is saying A LOT!

With all due respect, we came to that conclusion long ago. Those that were Kiffin's extremists won't be found here. They are still sitting in a corner rubbing crap in their hair because of the night he abandoned them.

Kiffin was a major mistake, more so that he nor his family wanted to or did fit in in East TN. He bolted the absolute moment he could back to the West Coast. Wilcox did the same thing. There is something to say concerning picking not only a coach of high character but one who fits the geography of the university. Kiffin left behind a few bobble heads and an asterisk in UT history.

It still cracks me up that Kiffin had Meyer apologizing to the UF fan base for only beating UT by 10 in 2009.

Sure. When you admit the same thing about Urchin Crier. Didn't he have 32 arrests in a 4-year span? Pot, meet kettle.

Nice to see that he offended some of you. Nothing wrong with despising an opponent's coach. We don't like Saban, you guys weren't too fond Spurrier, or so I hear.

The point is that none of them, not Muschamp, nor Dooley, nor Fulmer, nor Spurrier, nor even Meyer (who pushed our limits but at least brought us two MNCs) have done anything that even remotely approaches what Kiffin does routinely. Kiffin is utterly devoid of a moral compass. And admitting that will indeed free you of responsibility.

Many of us embraced Kiffin because he was our coach. We don't care anymore just like you guys do not care about Zook or Cryer.

Check the Around the NCAA forum with the thread titled "Kiffin's deflated balls"

We've gotten over Kiffhole long ago, but apparently you haven't. Let it go, and it will free you of worrying about what he does.

You just basically said Crier is excused due to winning two NTs. GTFO, Gayfer troll.
