A Coach We All Could Support for 2-3 Years

2-3 years? He's too smart for that. It wouldn't be worth wasting his time. In that you have the entire problem in a nutshell.

I think you misunderstand my point. A hire like Doeren would have a divided fan base from day one. Tee Martin, while not the first choice and somewhat of an unknown risk would at least unite the fan base and he would have a grace period of 2-3 years (I would think and depending on how things go) to repair the damage without fans calling for his job. Of course he would not sign such a short contract. His contract would be longer, but he IMO would get a lot more patience from VOL fans than somebody like Doeren. I really don't think some people understand how dynamic of a recruiter Tee would be in the SEC.

Yes, please hire Tee, let him bring in his staff and bring UT back, I would rather take the hit for 1-2 seasons, even 3 if it means he rebuilds it and brings us back to respect. Right now, we are being laughed at and I never thought in my 45 years of a UT fan, it would have ever got this bad.

It is this easy and obvious at this point... Tee Martin

He is the anti-Schiano, Kiffin and Doeren and a VFL QB who won an SEC and National Championship.

So he struggles his first season, who cares! We could take it way better than a Doeren first season. Most likely he puts a good/great staff together and recruits like a champ and our roster is stacked by year 2-3. This is where I am at now and I think most VOL Fans should be. The "not ready" label has to be ripped off. If not us who, if not now when?

What great staff wants to work for a guy with no HC experience? Don't sons like job security to me. Tee is really known to us for winning a NC. And you'd be surprised how many actually right Manning was the one ego won it

The difference between Tee and Kiffin when we hired him is Tee doesn?t have a failed head coaching stent with the raiders.

Tee has never been a Head Coach, sure! Neither had Kirby Smart till Georgia?

If were not gonna hire the "Home Run" guy, and were not! Let's give Tee his shot.

Dabo was a wide receiver coach when handed interim job mid season at Clemson. Dabos greatest strength is planning and preparation. He knows he will lose Venables and in knowing him he already knows who he will replace him with. If Tee has those 2 traits then he will be hugely successful!

According to Ainge, Miles wants the job, but has not been contacted. Yeah, he is 63, but he could stabilize us.

Agreed. I actually think the fan base would give Tee MORE than 2 or 3 years of honeymoon, now that all have seen what he would be dealing with behind the scenes. (Inept administration and nutbar, big money boosters.)

I, for one, would be rooting for him to stay UNTIL he becomes successful, on the field. With Tee, it would only be a question of "when," not "if" in regard to winning.

SOMEBODY, PAINT IT ON THE ROCK... pretty please?
