Volnation Live, the vol talk call-in show hosted by vol_freak and larkin on Sunday nights..is in jeapordy. During last night's airing, vol_freak hinted that the future of the show may be in doubt due to poor turnout. There have only been a handful of visitors lately to the live chat attached to the show and very few Vols calling in.

For those of you who have not tuned in to the show yet, you truly don't know what you're missing! We have an awesome time there! Even after a loss, the show has been a lot of fun and helps to get you out of the doldrums to gather with other Vol fans fans from right here on the board that many of you message with every day. Regular visitors to the board here know what I mean when I say this place is like another family for a lot of people...and Volnation Live is a chance for all of us to get together. Also, it's easy to call in to the show & the show needs tons more callers! You can praise the Vols & coaches, defend them or rip them a new one..it's up to you! Either way, freak and larkin are gracious hosts & all Vol-related topics are discussed. The hosts even watch and join the chat while they're doing the show and mention many of your comments on the air..it's cool "as heck!"

Missed it this week to tired to stay awake. I'll be around this weekend win or lose. I'll call-in too. They discuss good topics. I'd hate to see them stop doing the show.

I have to miss because I am in the Central time zone and am at church during most of the show.
But the show DOES rock!

I often go back and stream the show after the fact. I need to get inVOLved, heh.

They may not want to do it, but they may get more listeneres if they host the show after the games on saturdays if it's at a suitable time.

I listen live when it is possible for me. I love the Volnation live show. If I miss it live on Sunday nights, I listen to the broadcast rerun on the the homepage. Freak and Larkin do a great job! I don't want to see the show go anywhere....I will do a better job making arrangements to support it.

You might want to make a post on here letting everyone know when the show is. I have missed it because I didn't know when it was on. Out of sight, out of mind. I'll check it out this Sunday.

I have listened in a few times. Normally with other weekend activities it's hard to stay tuned in for very long time. That's what I like about Volnation, it's open 24 hours.

I love the show and will calll in. I stopped calling because I did not want to wear out my welcome. It is great to hear Freak and Larkin. They do a great job.

I have just recently discovered it myself. I think I have been on it twice. I will be there more often for sure. Good dialog and also good to know and hear what other fans think. - Other then reading all their drivel. J/K on the last part.

OBW - Freak, how about a "shout out" ;)

have a virus on my laptop and can't listen live, but i do listen on either mon. or tue's while i'm at work. love the show

not sure why Saturdays after the game has not been an option for the show, but I suspect it may be because of a conflict with the Vol Network's post-game show, which many of us have traditionally listened to for years. If they did it at that time, probably even fewer would tune in to VN Live.

By the way, thanks to the votes of support from a handful of you thus far, but overall, it's discouraging that, to this point, 391 have viewed this thread with only 12 replies. Post-wise, there is right now about 6 times as much interest in Rexvol's man crush on Steve Spurrier. :jpshakehead:

I will crawl out of the wood work and admit that I usually have other stuff going on that time on Sunday nights. We have had church activities for the past several weeks that are now winding down.

The one night I was able to call in was very fun. I just don't feel like I have that much to add. :unsure:

I will make a real effort to be there this Sunday. I will even try to call.

I try to get on there Sundays when I'm free. Saturdays before the game are better for me. When I do miss it on Sundays though, I listen to it that night or the next day. I'm just usually busy during the Sunday show.

forgive me all..for bumping this thread back up, but I want as many as possible to have a chance to see it before Sunday's show. :thumbsup:

Thanks for the comments and feedback, I wonder if we need to make the show more visible on the website considering I have seen where some posters were not even aware that the show existed.

I think that would be a good step to take. I think there are still frequent contributors to VN who don't know when the show is and aren't sure how to participate. It would be easy to pin a thread, post announcements etc to make sure everyone knows when the shows are.

I need a better reminder on Sundays to show up. I haven't caught the show in like a month. :wacko:

It is highly enjoyable though!

I have a feeling turnout will be much better tonight. If so, I think it will confirm what I have suspected all along..that involvement in the show is somewhat proportional to the Vols' performance from week to week. That's not surprising, I guess..but I would love for folks to see that this show is just as quality and cool after losses as wins. But since we won't be having any more losses in football this year, I guess we won't have to worry about it. :salute:

maybe, but i noticed it the first time i joined. whatever you need to do though. i love the show and don't want it to go away. its a great show and i love hearing everyones opinion. i'll be listening tonight, something sparks my interest i'll call. keep up the good work.

please consider logging in to the chat room too..this is more or less how listenership is guaged.
