Gentlemen (and ladies :naughty:):

I am sending out draft papers. The Nation needs you.

I'd like to organize a squad or squads for BF43. There seems to be enough of us who play it. Hopefully we can coordinate play times in this thread, and maybe talk about general tactics. Besides myself, I have a few buddies who play from time to time as well.

With only 12 people per a team, having 3 or more individuals coordinating their efforts and tactics can turn the tide of battle. Even more so if we strategically play different roles to our personal strengths. I know first-hand that Bearcat is a formidable pilot, for example. I am better suited for tanks and infantry, as well as trying to hold the off-map bombers building.

So, any Volunteers? (I will build a roster as people "enlist")

a guy at work can't stop talking about this, so i'm downloading it as i type, hope its up to the hype. I've heard lots of people loving it, and not any bad reviews from people as opposed to gaming sites, so im in. Those of you without my GT it's the same as my Volnation ID

I picked this up 2 nights ago. Love it! Brings back 1942 memories - the maps are almost identical. My only beef is that you cannot go prone on the ground... and switching spawn points is somewhat broken.

My gamer tag is IIISWILIII

Add me and lets cap some fools.

What do you mean about the spawn points being broken? I might be able to help.

I do hate how you can't go prone, too.

I have a helluva time selecting where I want to spawn. I ususally don't even get a choice- cursor won't move.

Flying planes w/o a joystick feels weird.

Ok, so on the class selection screen, you have two options of spawn. (look at the right side of your television.)

You can either spawn at a captured flag/base, or spawn on a squad member. You toggle between these two options with "Y"

If you squad members are dead, you can't spawn on them. If they are in a vehicle with no open seats, you can't spawn on them.

When you are selecting bases, you should be able to move around one of the sticks to high light different ones.

If you already knew all that and this isn't helpful, sorry. I just had trouble with it at first myself, but it works fine now that I know what's up.

Saw a great move on G4 tonight.

Get a buddy. Have him jump in a jeep. As a sniper throw your 3 bombs on the jeep and let him ride off. When he gets in the middle of a base, blow up the bombs. The jeep and your friend will be fine. He can drive back and you can reload the jeep.

Much better if you are using mics since you can detonate the bombs from anywhere. Just stay hidden and out of trouble till he tells you to pull the trigger.

Ya, people have been doing that since shortly after the game came out. It's cheap, but I haven't tried it myself and I am sure it's fun. It can backfire though. I've only been killed that way once, every other time I see them driving right for me and pop them with a bazooka round.

They should adjust the friendly fire settings to not include c4...

that's a strategy from back in 1942! Great way to take out a tank or two.

In 1942, you didn't even need the explosives. Just plow into the back of the tank and jump out right before it hits.

Vehicles don't hold their momentum once the driver exits, like they used to though. You used to be able to absolutely sling a jeep down a hill and over things.

I've gotten a lot better at this game this week. Practice does pay off. I was struggling at first getting 0-5 kills a round. Now, I'm 8-15 kills and 300-400 points range during better rounds.

I still can't fly the plan worth a crap and I haven't killed anyone with a plane on normal maps.

I can't fly-by bomb, but I can dive bomb and dog fight. I mainly use the plane for quick transportation, though.

The tank is my preferred vehicle. I usually work with a buddy and keep it repaired, while we take turns driving it. I've found it is a bad idea to stay in the top gun for long, as you are just too easy of a target.
