It was not my preference to handle this matter in a public forum. I brought it here only after not getting a response from you after sending several emails over the course of several months.
This thread was not a "stunt" as you referred to it, and I took no pleasure in starting it. It's been almost three months, and I wanted an explanation. Since I brought this out into a public forum, let's resolve it here. It's probably not your preference, and it certainly wasn't mine back in September.
You did respond to me through email this weekend. I appreciate your response, but I'm not satisfied with it. It doesn't make sense. To summarize your position:
1- You bought the tickets with a friend to go to the game
2- At the last minute you guys were not able to go the game
3- You resold the tickets to a third party for $5 more than I sold them to you
4- You gave your friend the money and he was responsible for sending the payment
5- You got in touch with him each time you heard from me asking the status. And you are sorry if he never sent the payment.
6- It wouldn't be fair for you to have to pay me now since you didn't go to the game and it was your friend's responsibility.
Feel free to correct me if I have misinterpreted your email. My position is simple. I made the sale with you, and you are responsible for paying. End of story. You said to me via text the week after the game that you guys had a good time and you liked you the seats. You even asked me to let you know if I would be selling those same seats to future games.
If you didn't go to the game, then you made a profit off the tickets I mailed to you - given that you resold the tickets and never paid me for them. I'm not sure what to believe from you, and at this point it doesn't really matter. Either scenario, you handled the situation poorly.
But let's bring an end to this now. Those tickets are yours. No payment required. The matter is closed. While it wasn't my intention, I think you have taken your lumps here on the Volnation board.
I am going to treat this as an anomoly. I have never had an issue selling tickets on good faith through this board before, and I don't think it will be an issue in the future.
Go Vols.
6- Is not what I meant. My friend and I had a deal to where we would pay each of our tickets. I will gladly pay my share to you right here and now, 42.50$. What I wont do is pay for my friend. I left him the money to send to you, he obviously didn't do that. I apologize for that sincerely. I trusted him to do the right thing, and told him countless times to please send the money to your address. I asked him each time you emailed me, did you send the money, he said yes. I was lead on to believe the money had been sent. I emailed you thinking we could resolve this issue privately, yet you decide to put on another show for VN to get another laugh at. You clearly had intentions to do that. Like I said, ill pay for myself or family, but im not going to pay for someone who kept the money for his own leisure. It would have been nice to solve this problem in a more private state, instead of making a public mockery out of myself.
