You know I had high expectations like every person has for their favorite team. We started out strong on offense our first two ball games. I believe their would have only been a select few of teams in the nation that could have slowed down Bray, Hunter, Rogers, and the whole offensive squad. Then came along the Swamp. Hunter went down and it was very deflating for the team for the first half. They came back out in the second half and fought with everything that they had and came up 10 points short. We bounced back to blow out Buffalo. Then comes the Dawgs and play them tough all night just a couple big defensive plays let us down . Then Bray breaks his thumb and we lose by 8. Two loses by a total of 18 points. Another big injury to our much herald offense. Hunter was averaging two touchdowns a game before he went down. So we get thrown into the fire just like Florida did against LSU #1 and Alabama #2. I believe if we had Bray and Hunter healthy we would have played both of them tight but wouldnt have won. We then play South Carolina and lose by 11. Our injuries have really hurt us this year on the offense and a couple big defensive letdowns buried us. All in all we have lost 3 games by 30 points combined. If we had our big receiver and our quarterback and more depth on defense we would be 6 and 2 and there would be no conversation from posters wanting dooley gone. Come next year will be a different story. More depth on D, Bray and hunter will be back and our schedule favors us big time. Look for a 9 or 10 win season next year. GO VOLS TIL I DIE!

Am I the only person a little bit fatigued by these Rah-Rah threads?

This is a very mediocre team with a head coach and offensive coordinator who have proven very little. There is reason for optimism, but I think there's equal reason for pessimism. Realistically, however, Dooley has at least another year to prove he's the guy. I just hope we don't waste the 3rd year of the best QB we've had since Peyton.

I agree with you, these threads are ridiculous.

9 or 10 wins next year as long as everyone stays healthy. If they don't...we are cursed

9-10 wins next year? I hope it happens, but I wouldn't hold my breath. This team has a lot of weaknesses, most notably a severe lack of run game and a defense that can't get off the field. Bray still hasn't shown that he is the same guy against UF or UGA that he is against Montana and Cincy.

And yes these are getting a bit old. I'm optimistic about our future, but honestly am quite tired of being told how to feel regarding UT football.

Whereabouts in Centennial? My parents live about a half mile from Southlands Mall. I live Downtown.

Technically I am on the last street in south Aurora. But everything I do is in Centennial. I'm just north of Smoky Hill.

Cool that's pretty much where they are, right off e-470 and smoky hill. Aurora address but .1 mi in any direction and you're in Centennial.

Go Vols!

You are almost the only one.

Why is it OK to have a thread about OMG we suck we are gonna die and go to hell unless we fire our coach today ...

... but it is not OK to have a thread about we knew this would be a rebuilding year but with good injury luck we could have a winning season, but we have had bad luck with injuries but we will still win as many as we can, give young players valuable experience, recruit well and be hell on wheels next year? What's wrong with that?
