A boy named Trayvon Martin is shot and killed by neighborhood watch goon

Once again, you jump on me as if I made that up.
Zimmerman's attorney is the one that made that claim. Maybe he meant after the visit to the police station was over then the head could not be stitched. Blame it on him as it is not relevant to Zimmerman's guilt or innocents. Just as wheather there is any visable blood or swelling in that video is not relevant. That video was released to prove to the people that were saying that Zimm was never even taken in for questioning.

You get the blame because you stated it as though it were fact. If this was something that the lawyer said, then you should have laughed at him like we're laughing at you for repeating it. You can't just accept everything that either side says just because they're on the side you agree with.

As to your last point, you have a very valid point. That was one of the first things I thought about, especially since I was one lead to believe that he wasn't brought in.

You are right, I did not footnote the information, that was my fault. I have "accepted" only the facts as the police and investigators have given. I do not offer the information as my opinion or what I "think" happenned. I will do better in my reporting. :hi:

Lol - an hour is too long after an injury to get stitches? That's funny considering both times I've had stitches i definitely was treated within an hour. Either that or he wound was so negligible that it it's a stretch to call it anything more than a small cut.

You guys keep bringing up cases were the piece of trash that committed the murders is locked up and sent to rot away in prison like they should be. If this guy was able to walk away and avoid facing the justice system, I would be just as discussed as I am now.

So as far as you know, Martin was murdered?

Funeral Director in Miami, that prepared Treyvon's body for burial, says there were no marks on TM's hands or any where on his body that would be present if TM had punched Zimmerman repeatedly or there was a huge struggle as Zimmerman says. This is new information that, if backed by photo eveidence could impact the grand jury.

No? It has more to do with Martin's skin color more than anything - and since its such a controversial/judgement call incident with the whole was the self defense legitimate or not fiasco.

If Zimmerman was Arab or Indian - the black activists would still be jumping all over the story.

Completely agree. This is about stereotyping cost someone their life.

Potentially, I guess.

Wouldnt trust what they say. Medical examiner will have covered all of that. You can punch someone, grab them, and bang their head on the ground without any signs on the perp.

Ras, thanks for posting. I've used this series in character education classes in the past but hadn't seen this episode. The fact only one person reported the white kids vandalizing but two called in the boys sleeping in the car is very telling.

arrest first, investigate later

You arrest when you have probable cause, and continue to investigate.

There was probable cause for an arrest on the night of the shooting.

Probable cause was also present in the Duke case. Not everyone who gets arrested is guilty.

...and that's why you're flipping burgers at min wage instead of law

By Florida Statute, law enforcement was PROHIBITED from making an arrest based on the facts and circumstances they had at the time. Additionally, when any police officer makes an arrest for any reason, the officer MUST swear and affirm that he/she is making the arrest in good faith and with probable cause. If the arrest is done maliciously and in bad faith, the officer and the City may be held liable.

This is the law:
"If the arresting officer cannot prove probable cause for your arrest and there is no other evidence or witnesses to support that you committed an offense, you may be released."

All the witness said it was too dark to see really anything.

Why would you say I flip burgers? You don't know anything about me. This is the kind personal attack that is reminiscent of the Duke case.
