:no:Does anyone else have a bad feeling that we are about to enter the Bowden era in Knoxville? I know we all like to dream and wish big but what makes any of us think any of the coaches we blog about have any interest in Tennessee at this time?

Apparently there is a 3:30 press conference tomorrow, per a post on VQ. Might be a change after all.

I think the presser is the normal weekly presser moved from Tuesday to Monday for the election. Hope I am wrong.

Bobby Bowden was very successful for a long time at FSU. I wouldn't mind getting a coach that could replicate his success at Tennessee.

as do i...but i don't they'd move it on account of the election, unless the conference was later in the evening

If Tennessee hires a coach that was unceremoniously dismissed by Clemson, I will personally call Mike Hamilton and have him explain exactly what he has been smoking.

I will report the findings here.

If that happens I suggest you report him to the metro narcotics unit for his own good.

Hamilton did an excellent job selecting the basketball coach, from what people posted here, he had some help with that selection. Baseball coach is TBD. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he will make a good hire.

I really have a strange feeling We are going to go after Leach strong...Granted I wouldn't be disapointed in that choice...Just a feeling...His offense would give teams fits here in the SEC

I thought that you were referring to Bowden Wyatt, the legendary player and the less than legendary coach of the Vols. You can get some information here. Bowden Wyatt I guess I am showing my age when I say that, yes, I think the Vols are entering or returning to the Bowden Wyatt era. Does anybody on Volnation remember what I am referring to?:hmm:

there is NO WAY that Tennessee hires a coach that was fired from Clemson to replace Fulmer. I don't even think we'll have to settle for someone that could be a "reach."
I honestly believe we'll get one of the following coaches
Butch Davis
Jon Gruden
Brian Kelly (I'm kind rooting for this guy)
Will Muschamp
