have been winning seasons. we have had 23 losing seasons. 80% of our history has been winning seasons. 796 wins. Hopefully bama will be number 800. Go Vols! Beat akron! we are 1-0 against them played them in 1989 and won 52-9.

Our history is great... Times are tough in Volnation. It's hard to keep it positive, but we will rise again!

There were also a few years where we played between 5-8 games a year too.....Since we have gone to 12 game seasons there is no way in hell we avg 6.6 wins a year.

We're one of the most successful programs in CFB history for a reason. We never stay down for long. Everyone goes through the cycle. Ours hasn't been nearly as bad as Michigan, Nebraska, USC, Oklahoma, and even Bama. They all had a couple 3 or 4 win seasons if I remember correctly.

Someone with better search skills than me can check this, but as I was there, I seem to remember our best RB getting his knee screwed up in that game. Cobb? Webb? It was a long time ago. I remember so many of us were totally pissed that a great player ended his career because of some piece of crap cheap shot from some no name player on some no name team. Screw Akron, kill em, 63-0!! :finger3:
