9 different coaches voted for UT in the final 2015 Amway Coaches Poll and who they were was surprising to me..What surprised me more was who DIDN'T vote for them on their ballot..Here's those who did, where they voted the Vols at, and a link for all the coaches ballots:

Art Briles-Baylor #23
Shawn Elliott-South Carolina #24
Dave Clawson-Wake Forest #24
Jim Harbaugh_Michigan #24
Joey Jones-South Alabama #21
Gus Malzahn-Auburn #25
Les Miles-LSU #22
Frank Solich-Ohio #24
Rick Stockstill-MTSU #23

NCAAF Ballots - NCAAF Football - USA TODAY

Coaches like Bob Stoops, Dino Babers, Gary Pinkel and Nick Satan not voting UT in is just ridiculous IMO..But to each his own I suppose..Thoughts??

What matters is the bowl game. If we win we're in the top 25 for the entire off-season... if we don't we get to spend the spring and summer talkin' about shouldas and couldas..

They should let the Vegas odds makers pick the poll. They usually set the scores of games within a half point. Not a fan of the Coaches Poll.

I know it's crazy, but maybe those coaches voted for who they thought deserved to be there.

I know Butch doesn't vote. Does anyone know how it's determined who votes and who doesn't? Is it random? Coaches with a certain amount of experience? Voluntary response?

Here is how they explain it:

"The Amway Coaches Poll is conducted weekly throughout the regular season using a panel of head coaches at FBS schools. The panel is chosen by random draw, conference by conference plus independents, from a pool of coaches who have indicated to the American Football Coaches Association their willingness to participate. Each coach submits a Top 25 with a first-place vote worth 25 points, second place 24, and so on down to one point for 25th."

Am I reading the poll right, in that UGA ended up ranked 25th because some coach had them ranked #6????

Very poor of SEC coaches not voting for their conference brothers WHEN they deserve it. 4 losses by 17 pts, two to two CFP teams would deserve my vote regardless of who they are.

I can guarantee you if Big Ten coaches played that "childish" game, Delaney would be on the phone to them explaining that the conference strength is judged by teams in the top 25. Unfortunately, Saban could take big nasty **** on the SEC office and they'd all die trying to smell it!

Best 8 win team in the country according to the College Playoff rankings. So we are getting respect. I hope we beat the brakes off of NW (lol), and end up ranked in the teens. Go Vols!!!!

The coaches poll becomes more irrelevant every year. The CPF rankings have actually made it obsolete.

Bobs mad that we beat his Brothers arse
Dino... well they played us well, but we all knew how the game would end.
We spoiled the Swan song for Gary..
And Saban knows any publicity UT gets cuts into recruiting... For example the battle over King KONGBO the DE.

Yea really...Stoops and Saban in the play off and UT was closer to beating them than any of the teams they beat. In fact, I think UT gave Bama a better game than Ole Miss given that Ole Miss benefited from 5 TO's and a fluky TD reception and still only "held on" at the end. And I think we would all agree that we just plain blew the OU game. They are dweebs for not voting for us.
