Frankln's an Azz.,
Under James Franklin, Penn State's record against ranked opponents is 15-28, with their record against AP top-10 teams being 4-21. Despite having a .455 winning percentage against all ranked teams, Franklin's record against top-10 opponents, which stands at a .160 winning percentage
But...but... they only LOST two close games to highly ranked opponents, and they did beat Perdue and Arkansas. I mean, uh, well, forget it, there's no excuse for them being there. If you read any of the voter's reasons, they suck wind and are embarrassing. Honestly now, the only important poll comes out in early November and only matters to whomever is ranked one through twelve, and even if the "sacred golden domes" whip up on the remaining cupcakes in their schedule, the committee is going to look at the fact that lost to the only teams that mattered.ND in the top 25 at 2-2 is a joke
Arizone State ranked ahead of Mississippi State when MSU beat ASU is silly too.
I understand why Bama is ranked ahead of FSU. Bama has looked much better since week 1, beating Georgia in Athens, and FSU lost to unranked Virginia.
Arizona State doesn’t have that kind of high quality win, and MSU’s only loss is to #15 UT. Many of these voters don’t put much thought into it.
