First off I would not boo at a college game, but having said that, I understand why the fans were upset at the end of the first half and I have not seen it mentioned specifically. With 30 or so seconds and a couple of time outs, why not run a play and see what happens? You never know. One missed tackle and you could get a touchdown or stop the clock with a time out and kick a field goal. It seemed like with the time left along with time outs, that the coaches gave up and just chalked any chance at getting points before the half. If the game was close, of course take a knee and live to play another down. However, being down 21-3 and giving up, even just 30 seconds worth, of a chance to score points was extremely frustrating. Hence the boos. Boos that were directed at the coach's decision to go to halftime without even trying.
