9-15 is UT's overall record in the NCAA tournament. This needs to change. Let's hope it starts this year. I like the draw. We all know Virginia is a very winnable game, and should the cards fall right, we had the tOSU game in the bag and blew it; should be ready for them again, if we get that far. I just hope the younger players don't take Long Beach St. too lightly and start dreaming too big too soon.

I wouldn't be opposed to being right at .500 all time in the tournament at the conclusion of this year's big dance.

I'm curious as to who thinks that meeting a team we've played before might just favor the opposition?

IMO, our draw looks about as good as we could have hoped for. If we can find a way to win the first two, strange things could happen. . . .

Historically, yes. But, this year's team has been full of surprises. Let's hope the tourney holds the same type as the Memphis, OK State, Memphis, Texas, and Florida home games!

i was thinking the same things, on both counts.....

6 wins this year would get us to .500 in tourney play...that'd be cool w/me.

and i agree KD....i don't know that i like the prospect of having to face Memphis or OSU again either....

Well, I know it's off-topic, but 5-6 is still the ugliest stat of all for me!

that stat is actually worse than it looks since you can only get one loss per tourney, but multiple wins.

Alternatively, 50% of the teams in this year's tourney will finish 0-1; another 25% will finish 1-1.
yep.....like Jay bilas said last night of all the prognostication about the tourney.....

"Well, you know 1/2 of the feild is going to lose on the 1st day"

which, i thought was kind of funny at the time given so much time to the selection process and analysis...:eek:lol: .
