Sure, why not. You claimed that it took an hour and 15 min for ONE aircraft to make it into the sky that day, without even bothering to educate yourself on what really happened. The actual time between the first hint that something was going on (a radio transmission from the hijackers at 8:24 am) and the TWO F-15s that were scrambled out of Otis at 8:52 am was actually only 28 min. This is not too bad of a timeline considering everything that had to happen in order to get those aircraft scrambled.

I apologize for the "raw emotion" in my previous post, but I'm just not sure why it is easier for some people to manipulate facts about that day than simply accept that an intelligent adversary caught us off guard.

I appreciate you doing this. I lived an hour and a half away in Upstate. Was a terrible time but showed me how good people can be when they're faced with an impossible situation to deal with.

Read this article. The fighter jets used that day were not even equipped with live ammunition when they took to the skies. If confronted with a shoot down order, the pilots were going to ram the plane with their fighter jet.

These guys (and gals) have my utmost respect for their bravery and more so because they didn't have to give sacrifice of their own lives a second thought. I wish I could personally say thank you to each and every one of these heroes.
