I'm so pumped for this game. I think me and a bunch of buddies are gonna fly out, what's the tailgating scene like there?

I don't know how long your staying or what your interested in but there are some pretty places in east TN. I hope you stay long enough to see the mountains (at least). I know some places in Southeast TN that are worth seeing (about 60 miles south of Knoxville). I'm sure others have some good ideas too.

Oregon should beat us like a drum, they are going to be really good next year, I think that they have a shot at the NT.

Oregon-31
UT-13

oregon sucks away from autzen and they have a lot of big road games next year. i wouldn't be suprised in the slightest if they have a disapointing season.

By what logic do you conclude that Oregon sucks on the road?

Because their three losses were on the road? It didn't have anything to do with those losses being to the 4th and 5th ranked teams in the nation? Or Stanford that almost beat Oklahoma without Andrew Luck and did beat USC at home by 34 points (when they had a QB)?

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if your conclusion was based on a phenomenon known as wishful thinking.

...

Oregon returns a lot of players from a Rose Bowl season where they overcame a lot of adversity, will have a senior QB, improves significantly at WR and is lining up to have a solid recruiting class with potential early contributors. If UT can find a way to win under the circumstances, they will deserve a lot of credit.

My guess:

Oregon 27
UT 10

Like I said earlier in this thread...we will get thumped by Oregon...I love my Vols, but the Ducks are light years ahead of us in talent.

Not realistic to try and discuss this game. That being said, I can't help myself and going off of what we know. -Quacks- 34 Vols 21

Looking at recruiting the past 4 years, the teams are about even, with Tennessee having a slight talent edge.

But UO has more continuity and a full compliment of players.

3rd new coach in 2 years spells doom for UT in this one I think.

Unless UO lays an egg like they did against BSU to start 2009.

Guess this is why it is hard to put a lot of trust into what appears on these forums. None of us have a clue about our coaching staff, new players, schemes, or anything else, yet we are talking about predicting scores for a game later in the year.

Guess this is why anyone can be weather forecasters. Just pull a number out and go with it!

2nd game of the 2010 season, New Starting QB, and Oregon will most likely be ranked in the top 5. The game is in Knoxville.

Who do you got?

oregon by atleast 20. will be CDD first chance to impress volfans. if he keeps it close i will be impressed.

They have better depth and talent than we do.

Yeah, but the only time they ever see 100,000 people in the same place at the same time is at a pot smoking hippie music festival. And then it's always raining. Hopefully it will be about 100 degrees in the shade. They ain't used to that by a long shot...
