Should come against one of our old rivals Vanderbilt. We struggled to beat vanderbily up until General started coaching the vols. Should be interesting the rest of the season.

Even Dooley is not confident we can beat Troy - said in post game press conference We have talent to win out but the black cat luck to lose out. Time will tell

As much as I'd obviously like the Vols to win out, I don't think they will. Number 800 should come against Vandy but it may end up being Kentucky

have you seen what's still left of their roster at this point play?

True, but we have a knack for making average or weak opponents look like All-Americans ... especially with our defense on the field. how many of our opponents have posted "career days" against us this season? it's just the unfortunate realty right now.

800th win could come next year. I can see us losing out just as easily as I see us winning out. Sad fact of life

Nope. I haven't paid too much attention to them. But unfortunately this team can underachieve with the best of them. Defensively, we've given nearly everyone a career day.

True, but Kentucky didn't even have a QB...

Yeah after the Kentucky game last season....nothing is a gimmee win anymore with Dooley at the helm.

Here's just a small bit relative to how bad that team's been this year and how much they're hurting:

Here's just about where they are around now:

Missouri's been playing with Franklin pretty much hurt all season (shoulder, knee), refusing to take painkillers, and saying that the pain while playing has made him question his confidence in his own throwing ability in-game.

When he's been out, they've been forced to play a Redshirt Freshman who can't really run, with only about 2-3 real games under his belt, and who can take pressure from a blitz (which, per below, they're so deep in their line that they can't stop a basic one)

They've lost their starting LG, RG, and RT since the beginning of the season and have been forced down to the point of playing freshmen and a walk-on-that-earned-a-scholly on their line. Their injuries have also forced them down to their 3rd string center (& their starting CB and I think a LB has been hurt on defense)

They're pretty much at the bottom of the conference in points scored at this point, and really the only one playing well is the DT who made the "old-man football" comment (he leads or is near the top in tackles by interior linemen in-conference) and the punt-returner

The first two attached pics are regarding their offensive yards and offensive scores (pre-UK), they're near bottom of the league.

Combined with all this, they have to travel to UF (who's probably pissed and looking to take it out hard on the next team they meet...great scenario to bring back your starting QB into) this week before travelling to Neyland.

(even their fans are saying stuff about how excited we must be seeing they're coming up...and some positive things about Dooley)

After how battered and bruised they've been playing so far, I have a hard time seeing "what's left of missouri's roster" being a loss unless 1) everyone on that team suddenly not only gets healthy but also magically starts playing like they did last season or 2) UT's team just flat out quits after this week

I don't think we'll quit, TrueOrange, but I just remember how good we made Akron look, and It makes me question whether or not we can really be confident against anyone left on our schedule.
