Tennessee currently sits at 794 all time wins. We need six more wins to reach 800 all time (Which we will reach on 10/27/12 IMO) This is an incredible achievement because there have only been 8 other teams to reach this milestone faster.( And some have been playing football longer)

Also, I remember when the last team that did it, OU I think, ESPN talked about it and had it scrolling on the bottom line.
Anyone wanna bet ESPN doesnt even mention us reaching 800?

So, what game will we reach the milestone and will ESPN give us the recognition it deserves?

UT All Time (794-347-53) .687 Win%

GO VOLS!

Honestly, as exciting and cool as that is, if/when we get our sixth win of the season, I'm going to be more thankful for bowl eligibility than the 800 win mark. I wasn't around for many of those 800 wins, but I've been around to watch the stink we've put on the field the past few years. I want wins this year.

Mississippi State on 10/13/2012 win 800. Book it!!! #801 happens 1 week later when we beat Bama on 10/20/2012!!! Optimistic, heck yes. But I think this team is going to show that Dooley and company have things well under control and sky's the limit for UT's future.

P.S. I also believe (OK hope) Bray and Hunter will stay for their senior seasons. Although, Hunter's new child might make that decision much for difficult for him.

No way in hell they mention it imo. Tennessee is wildly under recognized as far as historical success goes.

I agree, after the last few years i want success now and a big bowl game. I just think the 800 wins is more of a subtext of the tradition and history of winning at UT.

Hopefully we don't reach 800 against a buy-a-win team like Troy.

I see us hitting 800 against Vandy, maybe Mizzou the week before.

I just realized it's possible we have a coach who gets the 800th win while simultaneously being fired in the same season (assuming he only wins 6)

Not being a negavol, (I think we win 8) but it's plausible.

It will be mentioned because Coaches will be aware of situation and will slip it in in preinterviews or something which will cue someone in media to mention it.

I go to Ole Miss and was already planning on going to Starkville to watch us play Mississippi State, hopefully I'll get to see number 800.
