8-4

How so? It’s fact. Georgia was on the ropes and instead of going for a knockout punch we kept jabbing. It doesn’t mean we’re gonna go 8-4, but we could’ve won today for sure

Okay…we threw long TDs in the 4th quarter and had a FG to win.

Both teams were throwing haymakers. We just missed our last shot.

Pre-season, I said 6-6.

Think we will be better than my prediction.

Having two best CB's out is an absolute killer, plus the linebacker play is sub-par.

On the plus side, the offense is much better than expected. Looks like a lot of wild west shootout 52-49 type games upcoming.

Despite the missed kick, special teams look good and should decide a couple of close ones.

All ya gotta do is get in top 12, and get hot at year end.

I think the concern is the defense. We gave up 44 points, and I can name several teams with better QB play

We’re not going to hit on the deep balls every night like we did tonight. At some point we have to be able to make some stops. And I know we have several out - difference in the game. Just not sure how many of those we actually get back
Once McCoy and a few others make it back defense will look better. I got us going 11-1

We lose #6 team in OT after missing a game winning FG and the roof is falling in. You guys crack me up.
Do I want any of this to happen? No! I want to be gloriously, spectacularly, unremittingly wrong about it, you don't know how badly I want to be wrong!

So, which one(s) of the following do you think TN's D can stop?

AL on the road
FL on the road
OK at home

Because, in order to not go 8-4 TN's gonna have to beat one of those. OK seems to be the best shot since it's at home but their QB is having a day (282-1-1, 51 yd rush TD)

That's 8-4

And if they lose one they shouldn't, as they frequently do? (see AR last year)

That's 7-5

What's inaccurate about the above?

Down three starters and still had us in position to win this game. Georgia is likely the most talented, and definitely the best coached team we will see this season. We aren’t going 8-4. Im not into moral victories but I am even more confident in this Vols squad after the game today.

And as much as I love having Heupel as our coach, I hope that he finally realizes that you don’t win close games against big opponents by playing not to lose. I’ve said it til I’m blue in the face but after we forced the fumble we shouldve been aggressive and tried to score a touchdown. That would’ve put the game away.
Oklahoma and Alabama said hello...

May beat Fla since they will be totally beaten up and Billy will be outta there. Okie is Legit, and bama at bama is bama at bama. 9-3 at best. Watch out for Vandy......

Holy crap people. Walk away from the ledge. We lost in OT to UGA… say it out loud. People on hereMust of forgot the fact we are 4 years into being a guaranteed win on peoples calendar. We are good AF with just a few pieces missing. We started two freshmen CBs. Which minus a couples plays, were outstanding considering their fist start was UGA. Come on people wake up… we are rising from the dead baby. GBO

I hate to say it but losing three more games and a trip to the gator bowl with this atrocious defense. Banks defenses haven’t stopped a good team since he’s been here smdh
Kirby's teams always have a strong running game. They just literally wore our defense out. Nobody stops "good teams." (Spoiler alert. That's why they are good teams...nobody stops them). I am disappointed with the loss but it was on my list of projected losses for this season. We don't have the speed to contend with 'Bama's receivers. I don't get a good feel about playing the Sooners, either. We should beat the 'Gators but, we know our history at The Swamp. I just don't see a 4th loss, unless KY or Vandy pull and upset. I see a 9-3, a successful season by any measure.

We go 9-3 IMO (not that it matters).

If the D gets healthy at all in the backfield we’ll be ok. We lost the GA game because an 18 year old, with the weight of the world on his shoulders, had a bad chip.

Stop with the insane, over dramatic ********, realize where we are…which is back to relevance… and enjoy the fact that we just punched one of the best teams in the country in the mouth…
