You do realize that was Georgia and we had 4 defensive starters out? No way this team loses 4 games. Wow that is the overreaction troll post of the season so far.
Have you watched our linebackers slow as hell lol there is no Al Wilson, Raynoch Thompson or Omar Gaither on the field. The DBs can’t cover like most years I see us getting exposed on the road big time watch

It’s looking like a 9-3, 8-4 type of year simply due to our injuries. Depending on who comes back healthy and how much it helps us we have a slight chance at 10-2. Not out of the playoff picture yet.

I don’t think that Georgia squad is a top 4 team this year. A playoff team probably, but they look a step behind teams like LSU, Ohio State, and Miami at the moment. If LSU and Georgia are the top two playoff teams from the SEC the third and possible final SEC bid could be between UT, Alabama, and Oklahoma. Buckle up.

i think we go 7-5 losses to Bama, MissSt , Florida and Oklahoma. 6-6 is also on the table Arkansas or Vandy might beat us

Serious question and I promise I'm not being a smartass; I'm genuinely looking for your reasoning. What would make you think that we go 7-5? Had we gotten smoked by Georgia I'd say you've got a point but we literally gave the game away.

I hate to say it but losing three more games and a trip to the gator bowl with this atrocious defense. Banks defenses haven’t stopped a good team since he’s been here smdh

So we just lost the only game we’ll be the underdog in by 3 in OT and OP has us in the sky is falling scenario? I bet that substance they are on is amazing after a win

How does anyone look at us going toe to toe and losing in overtime to the best team in the SEC and go "yeah this team is horrible." Y'all need to chill out.

Here's the facts. We were 3.5 dogs and lost by 3 in overtime to UGA and people on here are saying we might lose to vandy? Lol come on.

Mental illness.

Took the fight to them and really should have won. Most of their points came over a guy that won't be starting most of the rest of the year and was only in due to injury.

This team can hang with probably every team besides Ohio State. That's a good place to be. Of course you want that win over Georgia but they are a powerhouse and we haven't been competitive like this with them in a while.

Exactly. I think the takeaway from this is that the SEC is really 4 teams right now. I'd go Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee right now. I think OU and Auburn have potential, but really haven't played anyone. Michigan was good win for OU, but they played at home against a true freshman for Michigan.

Unless Bama gets on a tear and is a 1 loss team when we play them, I don't see a single game remaining on our schedule where we will be the betting underdog going into.

Ole Miss? Oklahoma and Alabama look better than them. I think Oklahoma is #2 team after Georgia.

eh. our offense will bail us a ton. 2022 repeat.

I will say, Arkansas and Oklahoma will be tall tasks.

Ole Miss to me is going to be a sleeper team this year. They have a very potent offense right now. I could be wrong. but I think they host LSU on the 27th. That will give us a good idea if Lane is just winning vs scrubs or if he has a team.

I'm not sold at OU just because they have largely played no one. I think they are going to benefit from a rather soft schedule for the first half of the season. Texas has turned out to be smoke and mirrors, no one really knows what kind of team Auburn is right now (OU vs Auburn on Saturday).... OU has a 4 game stretch of at USC, Home vs Ole Miss, at Tennessee, at Bama....

But as of now, those are my top 4 in the SEC right now.

The good thing is we get them both at home. Regardless of how we feel about Heupel vs UGA, he is 26-2 against teams not named Georgia in Neyland Stadium

Losses:

AL & FL on the road (if Sunbelt Billy still has a job he'll have it next year)

OK at home

& TN always seems to lose a game they shouldn't, hopefully this was it

8-4

If this wasn't the game they lose that that they shouldn't

7-5
We lose #6 team in OT after missing a game winning FG and the roof is falling in. You guys crack me up.

Georgia is probably the number 1 team in the nation, certainly top 3, and everyone wants to act like we lost to a unranked USF around here. The sky isn't falling. We clearly outplayed Georgia, we just didn't make the play(s) we needed to win. Not sure how losing that games makes us anymore likely to lose to Bama, Florida, or Oklahoma (and some of you are even thinking we are going to lose to Mississippi state).

The defense will improve. I do think we need to have McMurray playing out wide more and just let Boo play more star. Redmond just got torched time after time in this one. I like his upside, but man just an impossible task for a true freshman.

Lol our defense will be torched on the road I guess we haven’t been watching Banks defense the last few years. The guy can’t stop a descent team. Our linebackers are slow and dbs can’t cover like previous years. I see 8-4

NIL has leveled the SEC playing field tremendously since its conception. There are several SEC games left on our schedule that could come down to how the team handles itself in the final two minutes. Yesterday’s game will go a long way on building the character needed to do the things necessary to win those games.
