Just left the building.

The scrum for the ball looks rough.

Wow . . . after all the hand wringing, Hank Aaron was really gracious just now.

I'm glad he got it over with and did it at home. Now we can get on with things and hopefully get past this neverending debate.

Saw a replay of the scrum - that dude in the orange jersey dives over the pile about 30 seconds late!

Man, I didn't mean to start a new thread. How'd I miss it?

I actually felt happy for Barry just then.

The last 5 days or so of baseball have seen some major accomplishments.

I wonder if any other 5 day stretch has as many?

Did you know Aaron still holds the Major League record for RBI's and extra base hits? He was more then just a HR record, but that's what everyone remembers him for.

I would've included that, but more guys will hit 500. I guess being the youngest to do it gives it more strength... but 756 and 300 are a step above that.

Aaron also won a batting title and was approaching 4,000 hits.

I hear ya. Still, it is a milestone of major significance.

The best thing that could happen now for MLB is for Bud Selig to shutdown the Mitchell investigation, end the keystone cops charade and ensure that baseball has the best drug testing procedure going forward.

It's a fan base that instead of greeting each other with "How ya doin'?" instead says "Wahreegle".
