What if they did? Then what? You eat your words or disappear for awhile?? If they don’t go 5-0 they sure going 4-1 and a possible bowl win 5-1....

Obviously I don't know that we will, and Im not real good at being right on my predictions, but why not?

I agree with you. I think we CAN, not saying we will. We have seen improvement on both sides of the ball. Obviously its hard to see that from the Bama game but there was some even in thay game. If we can mentally pick up where we left off after the AU win, I think the rest of the games are winnable.

Who knows, maybe we win out and go 8-4? Stranger things have happened.

If we beat usc I think there is a high amount of confidence for me and for most fans that we should/could win out and go to 8-4. If we lose to usc I think that confidence goes down a while lot we will be 4-5 going against ok teams but not back breakers like Florida or uga, so we might might get to 6-6, but got to win at usc to really have a chance. Right???

I think this weekend will be the tell all on how the rest of the season goes. It's also nice that we have made it through the gauntlet of defenses with a serious pass rush.

There's lots of things to take into consideration with what Pruitt and staff walked into...

1...Worst losing season in Tennessee history.

2...Most of those players still being here.

3...Mentally being totally beaten down about as bad as it gets.

4...Entire new coaching and S&C staff.

5...Having to learn entire new O and D playbooks starting from scratch.

6...Having so many players still hurt and out for the Spring, Summer and some in Fall camp.

7...Having to play so many of our youngest players.

8...Players having no real confidence in themselves or their Team.

There's more but those are the top issues our coaching staff had to overcome and that's a HUGE task.

Considering all of this I've always believed that just getting to 6-6 and back in a bowl game would be a huge success for all of us.

I also wasn't sure we could find 6 Wins looking at our schedule.

Some may disagree but I HAVE seen improvements almost every week and I know we'll keep getting better.

Getting the WIN against allbarn I didn't expect but it was huge for motivation and building confidence and we really needed that.

Now we have to hope that the alabubba beatdown didn't destroy all that motivation and confidence.

We now have a 5 game season left for this year and USCe has had 2 weeks to get ready for us so a WIN on their turf just could be the right thing at the right time to put us over the top and give our footVol Team the belief to run the table.

We may not accomplish winning out but now I feel like not making a bowl game would be a huge letdown since I've now come to expect a bowl game.

I honestly BELIEVE we'll be bowling again this year!!!

4-8 is a real possibility. However I just HAVE to believe that the difference in coaching is worth at least a 2 game swing from last season. I firmly still believe this team can finish 6-6.

at the start of the season MOST vol fans that were realistic said we come out of the gate 3-3 before the first snap of the football.
losses to UGA, Bama, AU
wins to ETSU, Charlotte, UTEP
"winnable games" UF, USCe and Mizzou, WVU
'Should" win games Vandy, UK

we lost one of our "winnable" games and won one of our guaranteed loss game against AU, so those cancel each other out MOST Vol fans had us at 3-4 after the Bama game. Even if we have a loss to USC, we will beat Charlotte and be 4-5 and just win our home games and be 6-6. Glad UK and Mizzou are at home, just really nervous as to how Pruitt and co plan and play these games, to Vol fans these are games that we should and could win and how they said that the team would be playing MUCH better and they can beat these teams. Just hope they dont lay an egg and go 5-7 with losses to UK, USC and Mizzou

Regardless of which stadium we play in, Vandy is always a home game.

If we are going bowling we need three wins, we might as well get one out of the way. It will give us a little margin for error. Not that we haven’t erred alot the last ten years

Obviously feel bad for the guy, and hope he does what’s best for him. But in regards to your thought, i would think it’d be:

Richmond/ Niehaus
J. Johnson/Locklear
R Johnson
Carvin/ Calbert
Hall/ Tatum
