While I would generally agree - there will definitely be some that will say ... well the coaches and the AP voters that do have a clue (some don't) - do not believe Tennessee is a top team, so why should we?
I don't think the coaches and AP polls necessarily dictate order - but I do think they influence the starting point and the conversation. And when you have a host of SEC teams with 1 or less losses, it becomes an eye test that will be influenced by anyone or any poll that has an opinion.
The key is to only have 1 loss when the poll comes out and have most of the SEC teams with 1 or more loss.
I think Tennessee is one of the best 10 teams in the country. But I don’t care what the polls say because those coaches and sportswriter voters have zero weight on the playoff standings. The committee is all that matters and we don’t have to worry about what they say for another 4 weeks.
Bulk of the AP voters and coaches don’t watch games but look at box scores. The committee doesn’t watch every game but rest assured they are watching every game for the teams they have in the top 15 standings and the teams they will put in the top 15 for their initial standings on 11/4.
People crying about two meaningless polls need to touch grass
