if we end up 7-5 JH’s seat gets warm for next year. I want stability but 4+ losses a year is unacceptable. Obviously we can still go 10-3 but it’s looking more like we won’t.

We ain’t losing to Diego Pavia lol. So 8-4 is the floor. 9-3 and it’s honestly not a bad season considering everything if we’re being real here

I agree with you. I don’t see us winning in Gainesville, but I just can’t see us losing at home to Vanderbilt. We have the same effect on them that Florida does to us. Vanderbilt has won in neyland 3 times in the last 40 years. I just feel like we get it done against the manchild and spoil their playoff hopes

I say 8-4 at best or 7-5. We aren't winning in the Swamp. Vandy will be a toss up seeing as how we haven't been dominant at home this year. Already 2 Home losses and easily could have had 3.

Vanderbilt does not have a defense to to stop our WRs and run game both. Not a chance. Texas ran all over them and they have a awful offense.

7-5 … CJH hasn’t beat a SEC team this year with a winning league record so Candy looks doubtful and we never win at the swamp, hence 7-5. Unless Heupel grows a pair and makes needed staff changes 3 to 5 losses may be our new normal.

This is an undisciplined football team with a poorly coached defense. It would not surprise me to see this team fold against both Florida and Vandy. Both of those teams are playing tough football right now, and we are headed in the opposite direction.

It is what it is. Changes need to be made.

8-4 it gets warm. He chose to let J Thomas walk. He chose to let Boo Carter back on the team (who didn’t even play on defense last night). He chose to let Nico stick around for spring practice. Even if we brought in Joey for spring practice we would be in better shape. He has to own those decisions.

7-5 and we will see serious staff turnover. Our schedule gets dramatically harder next year.

lol come on. This is pure emotion. Oklahoma isn’t a scrub team. We made many mistakes and lost a game we could’ve easily won.
Exactly. Every game we have lost we could have easily won! If we had only….? There are many answers to that one, and simple ones at that. Who’s to say we there are not several more what if moments coming up. That game last night was an embarrassment! In our house, our packed house!

There is just something wrong with this staff. Maybe if we make their pay performance based, we would get more effort. They usually have a great plan coming in, and if it works, we look awesome. If they stub their toe, we get last night. Heupel has to change. This is unacceptable at this university.

First few scripted drives are always good and then we fall apart. Particularly after halftime. I think the biggest issue last night was we were about to go up 14-0 and the team got lax and thought “we got this”. Eventually they realized they were going to lose the game and stepped it up, but by then it was too late. The coaches have to keep that killer instinct in them and keep them focused.

7-5 finish with Merk or Mac getting starts is different that 7-5 with Aguilar getting starts.

I can stomach the first scenario.
