7-5 Still possible

Possible, yes. Likely, no. Not with this OL.

I don't understand this attitude. We were within a score of beating Georgia and Florida even with "this OL". Why would "this OL" all the sudden prevent us from beating two teams with significantly less impressive defenses?

They've gotten worse. Six sacks allowed against Chattanooga is not a good sign no matter how you try to look at it.

Injuries pile up, increased recovery times with fatigue, the defenses we play the next two weeks are brutal, no depth .... I could go on and on.

To bad we don't get a schedule like Kentucky has were we could be 5-1 or a schedule like Vandy had last year... we have schedules were you have to have a great team to go 6-6

Biggest thing to get 7 Ws is keeping worley from getting hit (which will be especially hard with our line)

If he gets hurt, we'll be lucky to get 5-6 wins

Mizzou is beatable with our defense. South Carolina is beatable because they are "embarrassing." Our defense will keep us in games. Our offense (assuming Worley stays healthy) may be just good enough to put some points on the board, maybe even enough that our defense wont have to pitch shutouts to win.

Go Vols, going to be a tough couple of weeks.

It's very possible they could run out of quarterbacks with the worst offensive line in college football (and getting worse by the game). I only see one more "possible" win and that's vandy. Expect another losing season next year before things start to turn around. Hamilton and Dooley completely destroyed this football program from top to bottom.

ole miss has the speed to defend the entire field, our OL is tasked with keeping J. Worley healthy, and that will be a challenge against the rebs. Maybe the Vols will keep it respectable in front of a national TV audience.

I actually expect for us to keep it respectable. I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of a 23-13 type score.

I've been negative about the ability of this coaching staff to adapt and overcome, but 7-5 is still very reasonable. At some point bad Bo Wallace has to come back and perhaps our secondary is just the trick to bring him out. I don't expect a win here, I'm just pointing it out. Bama has more issues personnel wise than I've seen in quite a while. Not expecting a win here either, but it could happen. USCe, Mizzou and Kentucky all have flaws and here's to hoping the coaching staff can figure out how to steal victory instead of stealing defeat. A loss to Vandy this year would be unacceptable, bottom line.

Looking at our remaining schedule 7-5 is still possilbe.

Ole Miss.
Bama at home
USCe
Mizzou
Kentucky
Vandy

Even though I'm not convinced we lose to Ole Miss and Bama for the sake of argument mark them as losses.

South Carolina's defense is terrible. - win

Mizzou very beatable - win

Kentucky I feel pretty good having this game at home. If it was in Kentucky I would be scared. - So at home I'll call it a win.

Vandy is just bad - win.

We will go bowling this year.

So will anyone's attitude change if they manage a 7-5 record this year?

Why not go for the gusto and say 9 - 3????????

5 sacks against Chattanooga....Counting Kentucky, Missouri and South Carolina as wins...are you kidding me? Unless we upset either Ole Miss or Bama 4-8 or 5-7 at best!

1 SURE WIN VANDY, 2 sure loses Ole Miss and Bama, the other 3 could win or lose, I would take 2 of the 3 and not get greedy and that would get us to 6 and 6, with the OL we got, that would be big time for our program, just get to next year and hold the recruiting class together, we will lose 2 or 3 we always do, I know 1 thing if I was coach Jones I would have skip church this morning and got on a plane and be begging JUNIOR COLLEGE LINEMEN RECRUITS, get 3 and hope you hit on 2, we got to do something, or we will be sitting here this time next year saying the same thing, even with a year under there belt, I just don't see the talent to expect much improvement.

We need Worley to stay healthy. Run double TE sets or Jumbo sets to help with blocking. Play field position and hope we get some breaks. Worley is one player we can not afford to get hurt.
IOW, play small ball.

They aren't changing this offense

Might as well give that idea up

LSU's pretty bad this year. Why are you using them as a measuring stick?

Why not Miss St the week after?

Agree. But if they can't beat a pretty pedestrian LSU team then we have a much better idea who they really are. The following week they're gonna get boat raced vs MissSt I don't care how improved they are.
