I've probably head of 20-30 sixth year guys. If you meet the rules, it is a good deal.

Kennedy meets the rules.

I have my doubts. I just took a quick look at the NCAA rule which did not really help but this situation does not fit the rule. I understand that Kennedy's request would be based on missing almost all of two separate years rather than that he missed all of one year. I don't think that the NCAA is very responsive to equity arguments that don't fit their rules. It may seem fair to us in the same way we thought Plavsic's situation justified a waiver but, again I have my doubts.

I thought he got hurt near start of West Virginia game. And, missed that entire season.

Perhaps I'm wrong?

A small handful of players have gotten 7 years of eligibility. They had missed complete multiple seasons but it's happened a few times

He played the first game last year then out. The rule is 30% or 40% and can't play after the middle of the season.
