Us and every other college in existence. I saw the article too. He'll have his choice of any school anywhere.

"That [field goal] broke the NFL record. I know it was off a tee and I know it was wind-aided, but it was a great kick. It was fourth-and-13, and we're not a fourth-and-13 team. I knew he had the leg to make it."

I don't think the staff is willing to base their offers off Yahoo! articles.

A high school player kicks a 64 yard field goal in game! Article from yahoo sports blog by Cameron Smith.

The tee is a huge advantage. My brother broke our high school record with a 53 yarder. But to kick it 64 with a tee or whatever is still amazing. Not sure what the kid's accuracy is like but he can get a scholarship as a kickoff specials regardless of his accuracy.

My high school kicker kicked a 64 yarder to win a game. It really isn't that unusual in high school. There have been dozens of 63+ high school kicks. The tee is a big advantage, and there is such a difference in the caliber of athlete HS kickers can kick the ball very low which is the best trajectory for long kicks. This can't be done in college or pros because they would easily be blocked. In addition to this most pro kickers can easily kick 60+ FG's, but the defense gets such good field position if you miss, it is only ever tried in desperation game winning situations.

There was a kid from Knox halls who hit one against us in either 06 or 07 ( I played for Clinton) and it was somewhere close to this, maybe a yard or two shy. I don't know where he went or even his name but the kid had a huge leg. Amazing how even with a tee that a kid in highschool could do that.

Logan O'Conner probably. He went to Eastern Kentucky University I believe. His older brother, Ian kicked for Halls as well and went on to kick for Marshall.

Anyone actually read the story? Former Vol Dirk Borgognone is still the record holder. I think it's the Nevada air as much as the kickers. Borgognone was pretty much a bust here and left after a couple of years.

I didnt know yahoo's domain enabled kickers to to kick 64 yard kicks. Yahoo broadcasts news, but it doesnt make news. The kid kicked a 64 yard field goal! Whether Yahoo determined to or not to write about the kick is beside the point. Yahoo did not enable him to kick the FG, they only wrote about a ridiculous kick that was getting national attention. Schools base offers off ability. Yahoo, ESPN, ad infinitum write about kids who have superb abilities. Do schools offer kids because they make national news? Yes, look at the trick passing qb on youtube, case and point. There is a reason the kid is making national news. A better question is, "Are the players with multiple offers are making national news?" Yes, the players with superb ability make news and merit their national attention. Likewise, this kicker has accomplished an unusual feat and will likely receive several offers as a result of his superb leg strength.

We need to offer this kid. I am a little confused by him though. There are no real details on him rivals or espn. He kicked a 64 yarder in highschool. The article details how this has never been done even in the NFL. I say we drop Bullock and go after him.

Statistically speaking: Kicker hits incredible 64-yard field goal - Prep Rally - High SchoolBlog - Yahoo! Sports

Bryce Brown was the #1 HS player in the country....Palardy is gonna be fine. Maybe he could punt for us though or maybe help us block so that we can get a punt off

Kicking a high school ball and a college ball are totally different. Just ask Palardy.

Isn't the record like 68 yards or something in high school? 64 is still outstanding, even off a tee. This isn't a record, though.
