Per Volquest he is ahead of Kenny O'neal, Brent Vinson, and Gerald Jones on the recieving depth chart. The starters as of today are Austin Rogers, Josh Briscoe, and Lucas Taylor. Second unit is Quinton Hancock, Denarius Moore, and Casey Woods. Unbelievable!!!!:banghead2:

I'm not gonna freak out yet, but only because I think there is an explanation. O'Neal will be on the trip, but for STs. Maybe some others as well for STs. Woods is a holder and is listed as the 6th for Cal(won't last longer than the Cal game, imo). We won't be going 6 deep at WR against Cal unless it is a huge blowout. We are going to run and run and run.

I thought that playing so many wide recievers is what hurt us in the past and was part of the reason why Trooper was brought on to the WR coaches position. Are they still not sure about who is going to make a play?

Definitely wow.

I think O'Neal and a couple other WRs may go, but for STs only. I know O'Neal, Jones, and Vinson have been working at returner. They may all go, just not as WRs. Woods won't see much of the field because I doubt we go 6 deep in the first game. I doubt he is on the 6 deep past Cal, anyways. He was going to make the trip as a holder, either way.

Well I know why Woods is there. I don't get Briscoe though. I would probably have taken Kenny O'Neil (or is it O'Neal) instead.

I hope this doesn't last long. I think that O'Neal, Vinson, and Jones bring some dynamics that this team needs on the field. Whatever happened to them simplifying the offense to get these guys on the field sooner.

But we could still see Jones and O'neal on offense though right?

Why not Jones? From all reports he has been very impressive so far. That is a shock that they have Woods over him as a WR.

I can agree with that list. Not too much to question here, experience and consistency usually always beats out one hit wonders.

i think thats just how they listed the roster to sort of give those guys a a reward for being in the program already idk... but when its all said and done Jones, O'neal and Vinson will be the ones on the field when we need them to

I doubt Vinson sees anytime on O for atleast a couple weeks . He has to relearn almost everything about being a WR. O'Neal might see some time. I am shocked that Jones isnt in the top 6.

Your going to see 2 of those guys by Florida IMO. We need consistency the first game of the year and especially playing a Top 10-15 team in Cal.

I'm ok with the list. We're going to run the ball alot more anyways. And according to what I've heard we are doing pretty well in that department.

at first glance i can see why this is cause for concern. but at the same time, i still don't think this is all that shocking....the newcomers do have a lot to take in....i think most agreed all off season that these guys would get more p/t as the season went along, so not seeing them in the 1st rotation for the 1st game isn't shocking....a little disapointed (that they didn't catch on as fast as i'd hoped), but not shocked.
