#6 Hawks vs. #3 Pacers

Yeah they will. They always do.

Ha... sucks. At the time when I said it, the Pacers had built it up to the largest lead of 15 and the Hawks cut it back down to 9 I believe with plenty of time. Think there was like 8 minutes left. I remember the last regular season the two played and the Pacers were up by almost 30 I believe and even with like a 20 point lead going into the 4th, the Hawks got it to like 5 or something with plenty of time to win. I just preferred playing the Bulls coming in with Rose out and Noah/Gibson having been injured. I just figured Horford, Smith and Teague would be more of a threat than Nate Robinson who is the Bulls best scorer. I mean... he's 5'9 and makes the league minimum. Pretty much the only guy on the Bulls that can create his own shot. Add in Devin Harris, Ivan Johnson and Kyle Korver and the Hawks just scare me some. You might not believe in them but I'm not underestimating em.

Paul George with 22 points, 10 assists and 8 rebounds at the end of 3.

I'm sure it was assumed but he did end up with a triple double.

23 points, 12 assists, 11 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block.

Paul George won the award for Most Improved Player.

Other Pacers to win it are Danny Granger, Jermaine O'neal and Jalen Rose.

That's a nice list to be part of.

2013 NBA Playoffs: Paul George's latest leap elevating Indiana Pacers - ESPN

Aside from tying Reggie Miller's mark for free throws attempted in a playoff game, it's ironic that both used to be beaten by their older sister in basketball. The article talks about PG's sister making him cry from beating him so badly lol

So I'm probably on my own with this game tonight?

It's on NBATV so I'm assuming only Pacers and Hawks fans will watch the game. Not that anyone besides us would watch it on national television anyways ;) lol

It'll be just you. Between our "max player" going 15/8 in game 1 and our coach parking Al Horford on the bench, Hawks fans are thoroughly disgusted.

I'll be watching it. Looking like if Indy can take care of business against the Hawks it's going to set up a fantastic series with the Knicks.

A win tonight and I'll feel pretty confident that the Pacers can put a bow on this series and wrap it up nicely in 5.

If the Pacers lose, I'll panic and not be sure if they'll win the series at all.

Got some beer and a steak just in time for the game. Let's do this!

I've got half a bottle of wine the frau didn't finish this weekend and some leftovers. One of us is more excited about this series than the other.

Haha.

Well look at the teams I cheer for...

UT football... sucks.

UT basketball... sucks.

Titans... suck.

Astros... more than suck.

This is the one team I pull for that doesn't completely suck so I get excited about watching them. They're actually not half bad. The best part is they should have a bright future ahead I'm hoping. Two starters are 22, two are 26 and one is 32. With four of the five starters being young, it gives me hope they can improve. Hopefully they'll be a solid team for a while. I've forgotten what that's even like.

Sigh... Stephenson is the Pacers least important starter but losing him would blow.

He's a million times better than Gerald Green and Orlando Johnson. Plus, that's probably our thinnest position.

I hope OJ comes in... Gerald Green can singled handedly chuck away games, Josh Smith style.

I don't think the 3 should count. He got it off before the light and buzzer but that's because they didn't run the clock lol. It still said .4 when the ball was going through.

I'm just worried about Stephenson now. I don't even like the guy because of the way he is in real life but he's good at what he does. He's athletic and there aren't many better at pushing it and finishing in transition. Hopefully it appeared worse than it actually was. With my luck in sports... it appeared exactly as it was. Dude needed help off the floor. Ugh.

Didn't count.

Bah.

I'm worried without Stephenson. He's an athletic wing that's selfless. Gerald Green on the other hand is garbage that's selfish.

Did they mention anything on TV about the nature of Stephenson's injury. I was on the phone when he got hurt and had the game muted. All I saw was that he had to be helped off the court.

Notice nobody guarded Green? I would let him shoot it wide open too. He's a scorer that's inefficient at scoring. He scores so much cause he's a ball hog. He's like Tyler Hansbrough in the past. If the ball goes to him, it's not coming back. Green can shoot 8 shots a game but doesn't even average an assist. That's because he takes a shot every time he gets the ball.

I haven't heard anything yet. They thought it was his leg but I thought it was his back. He seemed to be in a lot of pain. The one thing he has going for him is he is young and large. He's not some lanky dude that would look injury prone. Hopefully he can shake it off and he tweaked something. Then again, you have guys like David Boston who are jacked up on the hgh and are injury prone for life. He seems like a resilient kid but it's hard to say. I'll assume the worse til we hear more.
