6-4 Let that sink in

The stats done lie. They were there. 10-3 with all 3 losses by a TOTAL 7 points is not bad. 6-4 with 10 opt outs and he kicked 5 players off due to being pulled over with a gun in the vehicle.

Lost to ranked Tulsa by 8
Memphis by 1
#8 Cincy by a field goal
And lost by 26 to BYU in a damn bowl game that some could say is pointless.

Meanwhile we get blown out 6 times a year. Top 5 in passing, good Qb play, SEC caliber players, points galore, try a dose of optimism, you’ll find yourself a much happier person.

6-4 in a weaker conference and trending down each year.Scott Frosts players he did well but did not recruit well as SF. This hire baffles me.

He was missing 10 players... 2 of which were starters. Chryst, who did no better that 7-6 and posted two 6-6 seasons at Pitt before being hired to Wisconsin, went 4-3 this year. He posted 4 10 win seasons out of the 5 seasons previous to this year. Dips happen.

Particularly funny thread today.

80 percent winning percentage as a HC isn't good.
90 percent scoring percentage in the redzone isn't good.
43 points per game isn't good.
Poster thinks he won't sign SEC caliber players here because he didn't at UCF.
But the same morons will Fangirl for Kiffin, Freeze, Leach and Chadwell lol

Frost was there for two years only, and the first season he went 6-7. Half that roster was O’Leary players. Frost has only one winning season to his name, the 13-0. Which I think had more to do with McKenzie Milton than Frost.

Holy **** the excuses are already pouring in hot. Pumpers out here bashing anyone that doesn't think a coach that regresses every year is a solid hire.

4 losses by one possession each and a total of 7 points during a covid year. let that sink in too, negavol.
Guys, none of that makes any difference. Way too many variables to make comparisons between different teams, schedules, players. This coach has shown to have a great offensive mind and the players seem to love him so let’s ride with him.

It might end up being the best hire in the history of college football, or the worst, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to get behind our team and our new coach.

3-7 let that sink in.

i might be mistaken, but Heupel is at least a winning HC unlike the past ones where they were barely over .500 or no exp at all
Big Splashes make big messes

Or maybe, since you're the one so strident in you use of the excuse, you can show that the opposing squads were at full strength? See, if you wanna use an excuse, the burden is on you to prove it.

Your move, brother.

That’s what I thought.

10 opt outs due to COVID
1 key player kicked out for a felony arrest
4 main DBs opted out for the Bowl Game against BYU

Meanwhile, Pruitt had zero opt outs, 1 player kicked out after the wheels had fallen off. Can you imagine how bad we would have been if had 10’opt outs?

Much more complete response than mine. But yep, Covid year excuses apply differently in this case...
And don’t forget the key DBs, 4, who opted out of the bowl game and true freshmen had to play
