6-4 Let that sink in

6-4 in a weaker conference and trending down each year.Scott Frosts players he did well but did not recruit well as SF. This hire baffles me.
Would you mind including the entire situation. How about the players that opted out for Covid. Apples to apples man.

And who went undefeated last year? Better yet what coach did you want that was available that didn't have 2, 3 4 or more losses?

Stupid argument! Your post baffles me!

FYI....Kiffy who everyone wanted had 5 last year. Oh by the way Heupel is 2-0 against him with same talent level.

You're citing losses as a positive for hiring this coach. Hilarious.

2 losses to ranked team (Cincinnati and BYU) . 10 players opted out. Rest two losses to other comparable programs to UCF (Tulsa and Memphis). No one is saying he did not lose 4 games but record without context is misleading. Look at his offense production. No guarantees that he will succeed here but find a better reason to bash him rather than stupid ones. JMHO.

Well, 6-4 would have been awesome for us this year. I pointed this out in another post...that particular 6-4 team was also number 2 in all the FBS in total offense per game...Alabama was 1st. He can coach QBs and Offense...better track record that Kiffen actually. Something else to think about...our offense finished...102nd in the FBS.

Danny White **** the bed on the hire. Let's hope Heupel exceeds expectations.

Did he? Or have you ever thought that no one wants to come here?

Have you thought about that UT isn't past UT anymore and we should stop saying we are a top school

Did you expect Franklin to leave a better job at PSU?

All UCF fans might be idiots for all I know. But they aren't too far off from what a lot of Oklahoma fans have said, either. I haven't seen anyone from Mizzou talk about it so who knows.
Mizzou doesn't really have fans, at least not many that know how to use the internet.

STFU
Everybody had to deal with CoVid?

CoVid did not treat everyone equally. Some states did their best to ignore as well as schools as well as individuals.

What do I mean?
Well, I had Coronavirus, in February, in Colorado. I lost my job, I lost my insurance and my profession has been decimated by it.

What happened to you?
What, you have to wear a mask? Oh poor you.

Everyone saying that everyone had to deal with Covid equally is so full of ****.

You have no idea what the administration there did. You have no idea what you are talking about. You are a negative idiot with no compassion or intelligence.

Wow. a "STFU" along with " You are a negative idiot with no compassion or intelligence" about someone you have never met? A lot of negativity and ad hominem attacks to unpack there.

Your issues and my issues under COVID are not relevant to a football discussion. You certainly have my sympathy for the situation you described, and I will simply say that we all have been affected in one way or another, and some more than others.

My point is that college football in general dealt with pretty onerous COVID restrictions this year, so going directly to that well to explain poor performance relative to other teams is illogical, since the entire field was dealing with the same mess. As a example, if two steaks were over-seasoned, and one chef produced a good meal despite that while the other chef was unable to do as good a job, it would be illogical to say that the second chef lost because of the over-seasoning. I used a food metaphor because I'm hungry, and because everyone loves a good steak!

In general, folks have been pretty brutal with each other, particularly folks wanting to sell this hire being pretty insulting to those of us with significant concerns. One of the prices of a passionate fan base, I suppose.

Have a great day!

I know UT isn't a top school thanks to Phil and the admin. Franklin would of been nice, but I never thought he was coming. I wanted Kiffin, Freeze, or Chadwell who are all more exciting and seem like better fits to me. Heupel has a great offense, seems like a decent guy, but he's an underwhelming hire. I hope Heupel is successful, but not sure if he has what it takes to do it.

I understand your point BUT this is so skewed! When facts are added to this it’s blows this argument out of the water. Not defending one way or the other but I’m just big on THE WHOLE TRUTH!

I would like Freeze but we are 1-2 years early. If we didn't have a large buyout for Pruitt and fired him normally, I think Freeze could've been a possibility. Muffin would've been cool but I think he would stick with Ole Miss and he burned a lot of bridges with the money men here.

Heupel is probably the best out of real possibilities imo. Could be a disaster or exactly what we need.

Ever since Nebraska left the B12, recruiting has been a nightmare. B1G recruiting hotbeds (Chicago, Ohio) haven't opened up yet but Texas has shut down for them.

It's not rocket science... his offense is perfect for Harrison Bailey, Velus Jones Jr, and Jalin Hyatt. Helping them excel is the fastest route to 10 wins
