Wtf? This fan comes on here wanting to share a great story and you bash him? You have no idea of his finances or homelife or anything, sometimes twenty dollars might mean between eating or not. So don't go around wondering why he hasn't been before, if yu have so much money why not send him some so he could get his children in, your a bum and this man is proud of his team, give him a break.

This! My dad took me to my first game in Neyland as a child. I remember we got through the gate and as we started to walk towards our section through the concourse I stopped him as we came upon the first opening to the stadium because I couldn't wait to see it. I had never seen anything as beautiful as the first time I saw that field and stadium with my own eyes. It was an unbelievable feeling that I'll never forget. I can remember it like it was yesterday.

I don't know why he did this except that maybe he thinks that next year I may not be able to walk on the hallowed ground of Neyland stadium and that I might be in a wheelchair by then or something.

I don't care that it's only Akron and that we should blow them out because the only thing that matters to me is that I WILL be there screaming my lungs out along with some of you great Vols fans.

I'm going out in the morning and see if I can borrow some money so I can try and bring my 2 kids with me if I can find 2 more ticket but either way I'm so happy that I'll finally get to watch my Vols play in Neyland.

If you see a gold Ford expodition with 2 Orange Tennessee battle flags flying proudly and a sign on the doors that says STUMP GRINDING with a mirrored T license plate on the front then just come on over and say hi J W and I'll be proud to shake the hands of you great Vols fans that are a big part of what makes Tennessee football so great.

I'll be the old guy with a white beard, Tennessee hat and Orange UT shirt moving along kind of slow but happier than most people just to be there with you.

I have no idea where I'm going or if there's special handicapped parking somewhere but you can bet your butt I'm going to get there early so I'll have time to figure things out and enjoy every minute of this experience.

I can't wait to finally be there with all of you in Neyland stadium.

And the salute to the hill. The new location is awesome. Just with there was some more standing area. We were up PM Pass and the band in front of The Statue and the Stadium was awesome!

I'm 29 and have never been to a game. In fact, I'm not even from Tennessee, but my fathers side of the family is. Grandparents, father, some aunts and uncles, and a couple of cousins have graduated from there and while they're all fans I'm sure I'm the biggest Vol fan in the family. I haven't seen Neyland in person since '93. But I'm moving down south soon and I'll be damned if I don't make it up for some games. Not all of us have the easiest time to make it. I think it's cool that he is.

I agree you'll have a great time. Borrow enough to enjoy the whole game experience from the Vol Walk to BBQ outside the stadium and dogs/drinks inside. Your kids will have a lifetime memory. This is no time to skimp on memory making...GBO.

After the Florida debacle I'm taking a break. Glad someone is excited about visiting Neyland while we have a garbage coach at the helm.

Sir, Your post gave me chills. words cant describe how happy I really am for you. I wish half of the vol fanbase was as passionate as you are. You truly bleed orange and a fan I can only wish to be like. I hope you have an amazing time cheering our vols to victory! Go Vols!:clapping:
