IMO, both of those are a problem. they have recruited poorly first off but the development is probably the bigger issue. the system may be too complex for some to handle also, from a management standpoint of making the adjustments. Adjustments are critical..
Faster, bigger players are sometimes just not smart enough. If they need a person smart enough for the position they may have to sacrifice the speed or find a person who is fast enough to make up for mistakes made.
I'm not sure we really know if Kirkland, if healthy was the answer. He struggled with the position but was fast enough to make up for the mistakes some of the time.
As for Jumper, I don't think he is as bad as most folks want him to be.
