His worst move might have been the other day, left that one out there too slick.

Slick? That's cute.

The only mistake he made the other day was telling the truth to a fanbase that refuses to believe it.

Regarding the Fulmer deal, you are aware that Phil got a raise every time he won 8 games right? I mean he could have refused to pay him but I doubt he likes losing his job over a breach of contract.

I'll bet if you polled them independently, Pearl's support would be nowhere near 90%.
Assuming the poll was random UT fans who each voted once, it would be close to the result of this poll if each UT fan was asked once.

And remember this was not a "Do you support Pearl" poll. Someone that doesn't support either still has to take a side.

Message is clear: 91pct of 5000 people who take a meaningless poll love NCAA sanctions.

I think that the majority of Vols fans overall want to keep Pearl. I think that the majority of VN members are anti Pearl.

Agree wholeheartedly.

Pearl has amazing grassroots support from the fans who realize that SEC basketball was nothing without him. And that's the majority of people since most people never gave 2 ****s about Tennessee basketball before Pearl.

The fans know UTAD's history all too well...

Force Mears out...program gets worse.

Force Devoe out...program gets worse.

Force Green out...program gets worse.

Force Pearl out...

We don't have a history of replacing successful or semi-successful (Devoe pre-shot clock) coaches with able successors.

UTAD has shown little or no ability to make quality basketball hires on a consistent basis. We're more likely to get an absolute joke replacing Pearl than we are a quality coach, especially with Hamilton in charge. The hiring should be taken out of his hands and given to folks with real basketball knowledge. He is not to be trusted with this.

We'll be back. But the odds are that it will take another firing (or two) to get it back and running.

i think pearl was a very good coach ,and i would pick him over hamilton anyday but for the majority the players he recruited were not coached up very few even lived up to expectation ,scotty is noway nba ready or would i let him be the leader of my highschool team, tatum is horrid any player should get better as they go not average just 5 points a game in sec play.but again i have posted these words all year played to many players and therefore team couldnt get consistant, seven to eight players should have been the rotation, never sub a player in the first two or three minuets unless they have two fouls

Poll is meaningless. Those who don't support Pearl could care less and aren't going to the site to vote. So, to the 10k who voted, good for you. Even those of you who stuffed the ballot box.

Now, would I have liked BP to stay, yes. But you can't undo what the man did and made himself and the university look bad.

I agree with you on this. but, I think that the disciples of a certain member on this board and his minions are the ones who post so often that it looks as if they are the majority.

I don't think the "minions" really exist. There are just an awful lot of people tired of Pearl's antics.
