$$ 50 to attend scrimmage

The reports they got from the scrimmage didn't even tell us anything we don't know. A waste of money on their part IMO

I heard they were charging media members to attend practice. Is this what you're talking about?

And Adams wouldnt even fork over that to bring us a story. Instead we got another whiny article. It's not like it wasnt going to be reimbursed either.

The rest of the Knoxville media was pretty pissed at the TOS guys for paying. As evidenced by the outburst on Twitter by Wes Rucker.

They charged anyone who was willing to pay to attend the clinic and the scrimmage, and it wasn't just the media like some half-twit hack journalist from Chattanooga would have you believe.

From what I understand, the $50 was to attend he UT coaching clinic, a multi-day event. Included with the clinic was a chance to see the scrimmage. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

Edit: just saw it was already posted

This is off topic but has Wes Rucker done anything worth while once in his career? He's terrified to even make a prediction much less break a story

Rucker was the only member of the media that didn't pull any "Oh look Muschamp is coming to UT" type blunders during the coaching search. He's usually spot on w/ recruiting too. He's got good sources

I just heard this. Do we know who made this decision?

I heard this today on the Paul Finebaum show.Finebaum as usual blast Dooley for doing this, but we all know that Finebaum would sell his house to be next to Saban.

it's always funny when some wanna be fanboy know-it-all goes after the credibility of a guy who, you know, actually gets paid to do his job.

he's a beat writer, not a columnist. he gets paid to report on the facts, not his opinions.

I like Wes Rucker. Seems like a good guy, his articles are good, and he doesn't report rumors based on what so and so said. Things would be a lot better in general if the media just stuck to the facts instead of stretching the truth to create a buzz *cough Fox*

The $50. was to attend the entire coaching clinic and the scrimmage afterwards.

That included seminars or talks by Coach Vince Dooley, both the Titans O & D coordinators, Vols O & D Coordinators and CDD and then the opportunity to go and watch the Vols scrimmage.

I heard it was a excellent coaches clinic and for only $50. to learn from all those people it was a bargain.

KNS just threw a whiney, crybaby rant over the $50. which to them IS a tax deduction.

GO BIG ORANGE !!!

Rucker's probably the best journalist living in Knoxville right now. He's figured out how to mesh integrity with current news mediums. I wish we had more like him.

That's what I was thinking, I guess his rep has changed on here in a few months.

He is paid to write facts, that's why he writes them. He doesn't write opinion columns. He also lives in Chattanooga.
