You never proved any point. USCjr being ranked 8th doesn't mean anything. Unlike you, I don't place complete faith in some numbers a computer spits out.

Did not have to. YOU did. And you did not. Then you went on a fishing trip when you could not. Don't let it get you down.

Or we keep Dooley and continue to wallow somewhere between sucking and mediocrity. I have yet to see anything from Dooley that indicates he has any idea what he's doing.
This is my first post here, but I've been reading for some time. I graduated at U.T. Knoxville in 1972, and have seen many, many games over the years. I have been through the good years and the bad. I was a student when we went to the Orange, Cotton, and Sugar Bowls when they were the biggest and best available to us. The Rose was a Big 10-Pac 8 matchup.
I sat in the stands and watched us never lose to Alabama and Bear Bryant while I was a student. Of course we had another thorn in our side then, and it was Auburn and the Heisman winner Pat Sullivan. I suffered through the late Battle years, and was thrilled when Majors was hired after watching his Pitt team win it all.

We are now in the same basic mess that we were in 35 years ago. We eventually pulled ourselves, and it was a long pull, out of that mess and once again became relevant.

My point is that our fans have no patience. Many, if not most, had no patience with Majors. He eventually brought us most of the way back, and Fulmer took us across the finish line . He had some luck, but I think that he always had luck. I know that the old saying is that you make your own luck, but between the Syracuse finish, Clint Stoerner's fumble, and Fl. State's quarterback situation, I am not sure how we made that lucky streak happen.

For whatever reason, Dooley seems to have zero luck. I don't know if he is the guy, but I see progress, and I have patience. It comes with age and seeing the ups and downs. Dooley is a smart guy, and he will figure it out. We are not as far away from respectability as you think.

I lived through and watched the same era of Ut football and it was def not allways easy. Biggest difference to me is 100% THE FAN BASE. This new gen fan base has the patience of a flea and the mind set of children. Not sure if Dooley is the man or not but he was givin a bad situation which included taking our traditions which some hold dear to there hearts and all should. Kiffturd era was the most depressing time ever for me, he took away the Orange pride "Maxims" Dooley brought them back!!! In my book alone that is enough to give the man a chance. Majors himself did'nt do it over night or in a few short years. Biggest dissapointment this year is Sal. All this talk of moral victories is a joke. No such thing. i too believe in wins and losses but I also believe in a process that in no way is complete. Give Dooley 2013. If he doesnt show vast improvement as in a 9 or 10 win season then talk change. Dont even think about a new coach without getting rid of the bamian hart though. That was a huge mistake!!!

Just thought of somthing else. The talk some have of wanting to lose...If you worked for my company and had that kind of attitude I would put your A$$ in the wellfare line. No one should want to lose at anything!
