So Don't blame Fulmer because it was Clawson. but don't blame Clawson because it was Adkins. None of them could get it done and now they are someone else's problem. If you and I were in the same room right now, I would bet you dinner at Ruth's Chris Bowling Green is no threat this season - even with your no doubt amazingly detailed study of 110 d-1 teams. You are in Ohio, i have business in Columbus,, do you live there?
Urban Meyer, Bill Walsh, and Tiger Ellison in the best years of their careers couldn't have done anything last year with that group up front being led by that buffoon. I consider most college football players to largely come in blind; it's up to their coaches (position coach, coordinator, head coach) to turn them into something productive.
As long as Adkins was around, it was the blind leading the blind. I'd liken him more to Helen Keller; no matter what the coordinator wanted done, he wasn't paying attention. Had Ron Prince been in charge of the line over the last five years, we'd be seeing players leave UT with a handful of BCS games under their belts.
And I'll pass on your bet until next year. Just make sure to remind me of it next July.
