Over the course of the next 5 years who will be more successful; coach CLK or Dave Clawson at BG.

Really all Kiffin would have to do is win an SEC title, and I think he will, but Clawson might turn Bowling Green into one of those flie in the ointment, BCS buster type teams.

Kiff by a landslide.

Kiffin easily. Clawson won't get any HC job offers from any program comparable to UT in the next 5 years. Clawson may win a good number of games at BG, but it's the MAC. We already saw how awful his offense is in the SEC.

programs are too different to compare that simply. 9 wins and a bowl trip at BG will be considered successful.....mediocre on the Hill.

Clawson doesn't suck, his record proves that....His only blemish as a coach came at UT, He's been successful everywhere he's been....I wish him tons of luck.

Yeah they are very different, Kiffin could go 9-3 one year and sneak into a SECCG and that would trump almost anything Clawson could do at BG

+1. Too many hands on the steering wheel at UT last year, going in different directions.

i wish clawson all the best and hope he does well.

i was very excited about clawson last summer (as were many of the people who are trashing him now) just think he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

i think the real question is who will be more successful 2 years from now.

cause after 2 years, the clawfense is unstoppable

After seeing the Clawfense at UT the only thing I wish for Clawson is a case of the crabs.

Actually, 2008 was the best first year he's ever had at a program. He'll probably fine in 5 years, but the Falcons will struggle initially.

I hope Kiffin is only at UT about five years. Since I don't think there's any chance this staff will fall flat on its collective face, a five year stint would mean he's been successful enough to merit either succeeding Pete Carroll at SC or getting another shot in the NFL. I can live with that.

Agreed. I seem to remember quite a bit of excitement amongst the Vol Nation prior to the start of last season (myself included). There was plenty of evidence Clawson had the ability, it just wasn't clear if he would be allowed to completely run the offense unobstructed. It's pretty obvious we played Fulmer ball after the UCLA game.

Are you serious?

Clawson already "busted the BCS". Last year, in Knoxville.

Go Vols.
