This isn't the early 2000s. Heupel took over probably the worst situation in Tennessee Football in the last century and has broken decade-long streaks and beaten those same teams multiple times.

Y'all are wanting OSU, UGA , Bama results without OSU, UGA, Bama players. We start getting those type of players and y'all want to run the guy out of town before we can develop them.

The 2024 playoff appearance where we got embarrassed on national tv after bragging all week we would win and take over their stadium. I’d rather have just gone to a bowl won it and finished 11-2 without that embarrassing loss.

I was mocking people that say dumb stuff like that. I assumed my sarcasm was more apparent. Either way, his comment was dumb so I also made a dumb comment.

Yeah by the eventual National Champion. As someone who went, it sucked. Doesn't change the fact that it was a successful season overall. You're feelings about what's embarrassing or not does not determine anything the that is tangible. Our coach winning almost 70% of his games after a decade plus of not even sniffing that while dealing with an NCAA investigation and probation does.

I don’t want him run off. I like the guy but he has deficiencies. My comment had more to do with every pro argument about Heupel goes back to the 2022 Bama win and the 11 wins. Three years later and he hasn’t matched 11 wins. I Think going forward he will continue to lose games when he shouldn’t, than he pulls an upset. (Ala 2022 vs Ark 2024). Probably as good as any I think they could hire but not elite.

When did we get to the point where 11 wins is the expectation every year? We won 10 in 2024. We won 8 games this year after dealing with QB drama after spring ball. Not great but about what most people thought.

We have had 3 straight years of having QBs who either aren't capable of processing the offense at a high level or had 2 months to learn the offense, which is why I thought we should've paid for a veteran QB this year. Im not saying I agree with everything decision he's ever made but he's a very good coach and has done a lot with a little.
