Heupel going toe to toe with Saban in '22 is one of my favorite sports memories. He's been a hell of a hire for this university. Anyone that disagrees has amnesia about what the 15 years before he got here were like. We are lucky to not only have a good coach, but a coach that's earnestly embraced the university and fan base as his own.

I'm proud of what he's accomplished since he's been here and am excited to see what the future holds.

That was the beauty of it all -the first coach we had who didn't quake in his booties at the very sight of Saban

Even the tail end of the Fulmer regime, you could tell Phil wanted no real part of Saban.

When are the nattys and SEC titles coming?
Since 2021 we have won two men's basketball SEC titles (2022 tournament and 2024 regular season) and two elite 8 appearances in the NCAAT; the women's softball team has won two SEC regular season titles (2023 & 2024) and an SEC tournament title (2023) and two third place finishes in the CWS. The men's baseball team won the SEC regular season and tournament titles in 2022 & 2024 and was national champions in 2024.

It’s just me, but I’m tired of hearing about that 2022 win against Bama and the 2022 season as the best in this century. Final standings: Tenn tied with 2 other teams at 6-2 but did not make the SEC championship game. Regardless of what had been, please tell me why the greatest year in Vol football this century still didn’t result in making the SECCG. Even in early 2000s the Vols played in the champ game.

Love when the participation trophy generation posts. Don't worry little Timmy. I can buy you a trophy this weekend.
a 35 year old saying “participation trophy generation” is….. truly baffling lol. You do realize that your generation is the one boomers are referring to when they say that, right?

I am guessing it is because there wasn't and hasn't been enough people complaining on social media about the lack of titles.

Please keep up the negativity. It always helps and is so refreshing to read in every thread.

Ok what about the 2024 win against Bama then? 2022 Florida? 2024 Florida? 2024 CFP appearance? 2026 Florida in the swamp? 2022 LSU? 2024 Oklahoma? 2022 NY6 Bowl win against Clemson?

This isn't the early 2000s. Heupel took over probably the worst situation in Tennessee Football in the last century and has broken decade-long streaks and beaten those same teams multiple times.

Y'all are wanting OSU, UGA , Bama results without OSU, UGA, Bama players. We start getting those type of players and y'all want to run the guy out of town before we can develop them.
