White went out of his way to make a point that WVU in Charlotte in 2028 is the last neutral site game on the schedule and will be the last one for the foreseeable future.

"For us, I want to maximize games in Neyland Stadium. We have a sold out stadium. We have the best fan base in all of sport. That’s what we are focused on as we look into the future in non-conference schedule we will look for home and home’s in that power four series making sure we have one here every other year. “

I assume more home games equates to more earned revenue, without having to raise ticket prices. Surely these NFL stadiums aren’t taking a loss when they host our Vols.

It’s because we have a road OOC game scheduled for next season

I think 7 teams have road/neutral P4 games scheduled next year, so those are 7/8 teams that get 5 home sec games next season

They weren’t going to put any teams in a situation of only having 6 home games next season, if it can be avoided. So that means no more road/neutral OOC games in years with 4 home sec games

It’d had to be 8 getting 5 home SEC games and 8 getting 4 home SEC games for it to work, given that there are 16 teams in the conference, wouldn’t it?
