I actually agree with you even though its partially against my argument. I don't think anyone is doubting that you need high ranking recruits though. I personally feel that if you look at the nations top 10 every yr you may not find a top 10 recruiting class in all of them but what you will find is a great coach and established culture.

You are right. It takes both because good recruiting with no development ends up with a fired coach. Good development with less than good recruiting usually means the coach gets hired at a better school. Good recruiting AND good development means you are in the mix for championships more often than not.

I have no idea how you got “moral victory” out of that...if you’re determined to be confused. I wouldn’t use “we” since no one else was remotely puzzled.

Nope, you just very often come off as "triggered" .. just a fact .. it doesn't take two ounces of effort to see you have a long history of being overly irritable on a hell of a lot of threads. Just own it man .. you're the "get off my lawn" guy on here

Bryce Brown, Khalil McKenzie, Slick Shelley, James Banks....I could make a list a mile long of 4 and 5 star players that were garbage either on the field or off the field.

A great player in a bad system or under a bad coach can make the player appear bad.

Kyler Murray was a 5* bust for Texas A&M. He played in 8 games his freshman year throwing more picks than TDs. Fans complained he was too small to play QB and tried to run way too much. He was a product of a HS system that made him look good. He left after his freshman year. The following year he joined OU as a backup behind a walk on QB and didn’t do anything, again looking like a 5* bust. Then in 2018 he led OU to the playoffs, put up over 400 yards on Bama, won the Heisman, and was drafted 1st overall.
