IMO, if the 2010 OLine wasn't going to be 4 freshmen and 1 soph, BBrown would have stayed and done well here. Call him a coward, but it was not a great situation to stay.

I'm not judging any of the kids in particular, just a crap run of luck per five star the past several years. I think the basketball team has more five stars than the football team now.

Stars are based on offers from big schools.

Adrian Peterson 5*
Reggie Bush 5*
Robert Meachem 5*
Matt Stafford 5*

The list ones on and on.

I disagree.... Stars are based off of how they perform
in COMBINES
Thats why that Star comes with a number score also
they get points on how well they perform, not on how many schools copy each other.

we are at least in on some right now

Walker wasn't expected to play vs. UT. The writers said 6th string. He was an 18 yo true Freshmen.

Ridiculous everyone in the country new who Herschel Walker was before he ever played a down. He was never 6th team anything. I was at that game and fully expected to get to see the great Herschel Walker. Everyone knew he was going to be great. Still haven't forgot the Glenn Ford fumble.

Actually it was reported earlier in the spring I think, that stars to come from number if schools offered. Shouldn't be that way but it is what it is.
If the kid can play, many schools will offer = more stars!
That's why some kids are 3* and end up moving up because more schools start offering scholoships to them.

Don't forget our good buddy Brice Brown...
Man that dude was the bomb!

Seriously though, word around the water cooler is Vols going to land them a 5* RB, if they beat GA!

Thats a big if. A top tier rb could change the VOL's future if UT can find a way to win in Athens. Or are we deluding ourselves because we survived against the mighty Akron Zips.
