Two field goals.

That's all that's lacking to have made us 2-0 in the SEC.

Ole Miss over looks us.

Trap game.

We intercept the QB 3 times this game.

Vols win a nail biter.

Whole conference gets shook up.

It is amazing that if a couple of breaks go our way, this team with such inexperience and youth goes from 3-3(0-2) to 5-1(2-0).

Maybe we will get those breaks in the upcoming brutal stretch of pain we call a schedule.

A team could lose 12 games by 1 point each at the end of season that team would be 0 - 12. A loss is a loss, period.

Not knocking the OP because i think he's right and it's very frustrating to lose the way we have, but we have to move on from those games.

This team is so hard to predict, because they are actually good to very good at every spot other than OL.

It's as simple as, for me anyway, the OL playing their best game yet and all the sudden we have a chance to beat anyone.

Ole miss is expecting to be very disruptive with just their front 4, and they should both be expecting and achieving that if things go how they appear, but if they arn't... then what happens? They don't want to have to bring blitzes to pressure us. all the sudden that means our guys have a little more space. Then we can move the ball a little.

Then the Ole miss offense, which has been inconsistent against good defenses, has to force things a little. If they don't find a rhythm, things could fall apart quickly.

It's that simple. Ole miss doesn't expect to be in a close game.

really, if you want to go down this path we are potentially only 5 plays from being 6-0.

1) OK - the fumble that wasn't
2 and 3) OK- Int's in endzone
4) GA - fumble in our endzone
5) FL - the missed int by Cam late in that game (knocked away by WR)

Bottom line, we are closer than our record but at some point we have to make the plays that win games and not just be close. More frustrating than getting blow out but way better than under Doolers.

We were only 168 points from being undefeated last year! "Losing will never be accepted at Tennessee" Butch Jones

I spent most of the night breaking down the tam game, and the Bama game like a coach would. Granted I'm not college level. This post is spot on, you must of watched those two games closely too.

Reminds me of some Fulmer quotes after 2005 when 8 points could've made us 8-3 instead of 5-6. Didn't buy it then and that was coming out of the mouth of a BCS championship winning coach.

We are only 17 sacks away from having a QB that doesn't suffer from PTSD too. Get ready for some flash backs peeples because that ole miss front will be eating Worley's sandwiches. UTC was sacking us with authority!!!!! WTH do people see improving against Ole Miss?
