5-7

Really? What has either of those teams done recently to think they are playing up to the talent level of UT? Serious question because I may have missed it but i havent seen them do ANYTHING this year that impressed me in the least

Agreed. As a matter of fact, what has UK, Missouri or Vandy done to make people think they can beat us? We have been improving and are playing much better on both sides of the ball. I haven’t seen that from the other teams I mentioned. Missouri seems to have regressed. Vandy sucks and UK is fairly one dimensional yet again.

My pick was 8-4 or 7-5. Basing it on the soft schedule to start the season. Had they won the games they should have the current record would be 6-3 with 3 left to play. They could still finish 7-5 most likely will finish 6-6 dropping either the KY or Mo game. If they win out that would be 5 straight wins. With the on the job training and QB carousel I don't see it happening. I hope I'm wrong.

I could see us winning the next 3 games but I feel like we will lose one of them. We've seen a big turn around in our team this year. IF we were to lose one or even 2 of the remaining games but play really hard and really close... I think it is still a success considering where we started.

we HAVE TO keep in mind, we might have JG at QB for the next 3 games... so while our "team" might be better... or qb situation may hold us back from full potential

Nah we need that bowl game. Loving the improvement but had we beaten the two teams that we should’ve, we would already be bowling. 6-3 with a close loss at Bama sounds really nice right now. With the potential to finish with 9 wins and possibly a bowl win to put us at 10 to boot.

I don't see how anybody could "feel good" about 5-7 with this schedule.

That would mean there were some massive failures at the beginning AND the end of the year with some better play in the middle of the season. Does that mean Pruitt is getting it done? Nope. Just more of the same roller coaster ride as last year. We would be on here all off season fussing about wether or not Pruitt should be fired.

I think they have to AT LEAST take 2 of the last 3 games to even feel like there was solid improvement as the season went on.

Not to mention how badly this team needs those 15 practices going forward. All the young players and hopefully BM or JT could really get a head start from bowl game prep.

For a somewhat successful season, The Vols' goals should be a minimum of:
1. Make a bowl game.
2. Get back to beating the gamecocks. (done)
3. Beating Vanderbilt.
All of these done, and I'll call it success for year 2.

Well compared to Tennessee, who hasn't really done anything impressive either. I think you have 3 very evenly matched teams. Except Kentucky beat Missouri down, so I don't know how you gauge it.
Mizzou is about 21 points better at home than on the road.

truth, despite the Minions on here

I see predictions of Tennessee scoring 41, 38, 35 points. Not gonna happen, Kentucky hasn't allowed 30 points in 13 games, plus we've allowed 2 touchdowns in 1st half in the last 4 games.
Haven't allowed a touchdown in the 1st half, since Arkansas's 1st possession.
This will be a low scoring game, the team that owns the LOS and doesn't turn ball over wins it.

UKs best chance is for the Vols to have the ball on the Cats one inch line. JG knows the exact play to run there. 😱
