Bad joke?maybe
Had my best seats ever last night and took my dad with me...I was pumped for an upset but from the very first play I felt like we had already lost. Although it was the best seats it was worst crowd I've been around. When the defense came out I for the first possession I stood up to cheer and get loud only to look around and realize I was the only one. I was embarrassed last night instead supporting the team people would yell stuff like TN sucks so just sit down...I'm sure if I felt it so easily the team does to and I hope that feeling isn't around 24/7. Going on the road this week may give them their best chance to win.
On a positive note my dad is disabled and we took the disabled bus to the stadium looking around and seeing a 93 year old whose came to games since 1947 let's you see what a real VFL is.
I'll leave my personal Dooley thoughts out but based on last people who want him gone may get it what they want and I wouldn't be surprised to see some transfers to with all the fans are supporting them right now.

It's the fans fault Tennessee has multiple busted coverages in the secondary every game.

Here we go with the whole 'it's the fan's fault' again.

How's this: It's fans such as you that tolerate mediocrity and lowered standards that make subpar performance's 'acceptable.'

Doesn't feel fair, does it? Stop bringing the fans into this. We're all Vol fans. We hate to lose. But many are resigned to the fact that this regime will never get it done.

Cherish your dad while you still have him. Looks like the natives are restless! :hi:

What did you expect? Everyone living in reality knew that would be the case. Until we get a quality coach this will continue.

Look. Here's how it works.

Players have to go out and play to win for themselves and their team. Any player that is swayed strongly up or down because of a fanbase is weak. I don't care if the freakin stadium is empty, you go out there to destroy your opponent because of the pride and faith you have in yourself and your team, not because of some outside artificial mood swing. Fans react to what they see, they don't drive the program.

This is what I always told my players. You destroy, you fight, you win, based on your inner drive and desire to win. If you need a stadium full of people to "pump you up" or to create a desire within you to win, you're too mentally weak to be on my team.

Please lay off the fans. When you can still sell tickets and pack a stadium with the product that has been put on the field for the last 3-4 years, the problem is not in the seats; it's on the sidelines.

Are you saying that fans literally yelled "TN sucks so just sit down", or that was just the vibe you got?

University of Georgia is the only other major CFB stadium I have been to and they were MUCH MUCH louder on the defense and third downs then we were when we had the game close in the 1st quarter. Dont really blame us though, I get tired getting our @ss wooped too

What do you expect! The fans deserve better, the players deserve better. It is our right to be upset with the current status of this program. We expect and deserve better than the product we are receiving. Being a fan doesn't mean we continue to accept failure. Face it, if you don't perform at your job, you will most likely be looking for another one.

We are at every single home game and haven't stopped supporting our team!!!! I'm pissed at all the Tennessee fans selling to the enemy.. that's an act of jumping ship.. we had those fans up in the Terrace, one sorry ass drunk was escorted out by two in blue.. him and all his mini bottles, harassing anyone in orange around him.. I can't believe people blame the fans for a horrible game.. we screamed yelled.. what's a person to do, draw blood? Gosh I get tired of it being because of the fans..

Next home game, I dont think we should wait until the first series to boo them. I think we should start the booing during the warm-ups.

And a similar note, we need to change the song for when they run through the T. Let's go with......."Send in the Clowns"
