That's another thing that's wrong with officiating. Why should late possessions count more than at any other point of the game? Late baskets are worth the same as early baskets.

It seems that if you don't foul, then you won't have a foul called. Strong tournament teams don't make dumb mistakes like that.

Clearly, Vandy was trying to send a message, that they would not be intimidated by Tennessee. The Vols did not back down. How many times did Williams get fouled, because Vandy could not stop him?

Yeah & the record 24 for 24 was in 1959 in Oklahoma so I guess that's the era that Refs started calling to many fouls.
